What you’ll do

The candidate will work in an international context within a matricial organization made up of teams transversal to all countries and vertical teams.
The position requires skills and competences to grasp and amplify the advantages of operating within Vodafone's international One Tech Team, bringing value within the organization.
The candidate must:
• Promote and accelerate the standardisation of processes and ways of working within the different countries
• Contribute to the harmonization of databases and tools functional to the Network Deployment (e.g. the tools for managing the material bill, the purchase orders, the network elements data inventory, the installation and configuration of the HW, the network counters and the quality KPIs)
• Share skills, knowledge and best practices, contributing to the continuous development of vertical centers of excellence
• Collaborate with the colleagues of vertical teams to define Guidelines on the procedures of network deployment, troubleshooting, architectural and structural design of infrastructures
• Promote the spread of automation and the digitalization of processes (Group Digital Program) so as to reduce the operational effort and achieve greater efficiency in deployment in the individual markets

The Network Implementation Services Specialist will be accountable of the detailed architectural and structural project (Low Level Design - LLD) Rx and Tx of the mobile access network. He/She will work on a nominal list of new sites and upgrades of existing sites as defined in the Planning phase (High Level Design – HLD).
He/She will be also accountable of requests to obtain permits from local authorities in compliance with local and national regulations.

The activity must be carried out taking into account and in compliance with:
• priorities and monthly allocation defined in the Planning phase
• limits of the electromagnetic field according to the regulations sector per Market
• procedures, timing and constraints of national legislation in the TLC sector, in the various countries, to build and activate TLC systems
• guidelines on hardware configurations and architectural solutions defined by the Engineering team for the different vendors
• technical feasibility based on existing structural constraints and on restrictions imposed by national and local sector regulations
• agreements in place with the Tower Company which owns the infrastructure
• other tenants collocated on the structure, related deployment plans and agreements with Tower-Company owner

He/She will work with the Access NTW and Vendor Management Team in processes relating to warehouse logistics, management of third parties (professional firms and access service companies), purchase orders management

He/ She must ensure compliance with the KPIs and SLAs of the contract of deployment services for the mobile access network Rx/ Tx.

Who you are

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
• Consolidated knowledge of 2G/4G/5G technologies, Microwave (MW) connectivity and fiber (FTTx) connectivity solutions
• Knowledge of the access network counters and of the KPIs that measure the continuity and quality of the service perceived by the customer
• Consolidated experience in the architectural and structural design (LLD) of 2G/4G/5G, MW and FTTx networks to guarantee coverage and capacity in compliance with the defined KPIs
• Consolidated experience in the architectural and structural design (LLD) of 2G/4G/5G and MW networks to guarantee coverage and capacity in compliance with the defined KPIs
• Experience in the design of 4G and 5G dedicated coverage systems (Distributed Antenna System - DAS); cost optimization through evaluation and choice of the most suitable configuration (passive or active) and the technological solution of the different vendors
• Consolidated knowledge of national legislation in the various markets and local on electromagnetic fields and installation of telecommunication systems
• Knowledge of the tools (SUAP portal or equivalent for other markets, register of electromagnetic sources, portals of sub-services owned by local administrations) and ability to use them
• Aptitude and experience in dealing with public administrations and regulators in the various markets involved in the process of requesting and acquiring permits to build and activate
• Knowledge on legislation, process and procedures to oversee on health and safety and environment
• Experience and knowledge of the telecommunications market of different countries
• Experience working in multi-matrix organizations
• Experience in managing third parties in compliance with existing contracts and the application of the code of ethics
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing contexts and markets


Must have technical / professional qualifications:
• High-level degree in telecommunications or 10/5+ years of experience within the Network function
• 3/1+ at least in a senior role.
