Senior Manager - Fraud Insight

Job Description

The purpose of our Fraud Insight Manager is to help establish a successful fraud function through owning the delivery & development of fraud insight intelligence here at VMO2. You'll lead this capability while managing and developing a team of 3 insight agents.

You'll be responsible for ensuring:

  • Actionable intelligence is gathered based on data insights to enable the improvement of preventive capabilities
  • Data products are provided by the data estate and are providing the insight that is required
  • Actionable insight is provided on how fraudsters are targeting VMO2 across ID, AT and Network frauds as well as how legitimate customers are transacting with VMO2
  • A continuous high performance across your team through guidance and vision

This role demands a deep understanding of the fraud & data industry, customer demands & risks, and the competitive landscape in which we operate to push ahead of the curve. Core capabilities are prioritisation and balancing of competing priorities while fostering innovation and continuous improvement as technologies and fraud practices evolve.

The must haves

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;

  • Experience managing a team
  • A proven background in data & insights i.e extracting insights from large data sets, analysis of complex data, ability to comprehend complex data system architectures and experience with statistical analysis software
  • Proven experience working within a fraud function i.e fraud investigations - technologies, practice, and resolutions, fraud technologies - detection, algorithms, ability to identify and share risks/challenges, insight into business and fraud performance

The other stuff we are looking for

We'd also love you to bring;

  • Technical competency in GCP, SQL & Microsoft Access
  • Experience working in the following industries: telecommunications, finance or retail
