Job Description
As a Direct Report to the Head of Technical Security, the Security Technical Compliance manager role is an important position within the team and provides an essential part of the function in liaising with Senior Government officials and teams, Key vendors as well as interacting with senior stakeholders in Virgin Media O2 in order to facilitate the delivery of the systems that are required in order for the company to remain compliant to UK Government regulations (e.g., Investigatory Powers Act 2016). A key part of this role is to act as Government network security centre of expertise, ensuring Virgin Media O2 maintain technical compliance and underwrite the KPI’s & SLAs required to deliver our obligation to law enforcement and external agencies for Lawful Interception and Communication Data across our networks.
Please note that this role is a 24 month, fixed term contract opportunity.

The must haves
In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;
- Wide experience of the lawful interception on mobile networks and other access technologies as per ETSI and 3GPP security standards;
- Previous managerial experience
- High level knowledge of GSM and UMTS voice core call scenarios and signalling;
- Previous experience of dealing with Government officials
The other stuff we are looking for
We'd also love you to bring;
- High level knowledge of GPRS, UMTS and LTE packet core sessions and signalling;
- Knowledge of IMS VoLTE call scenarios and signalling;
- Knowledge of Linux system administration;
- Ideally having previous UK Government clearance to SC or above.
