Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Network Expansion team here at Virgin Media 02 as a Quantity Surveyor on an 18 month fixed term contract! In this role you'll play a pivotal part in the success of the team by undertaking the contract and cost administration required on regional projects. You’ll also play a key role in providing cost management support on contracts across multiple business units.
Within this hardworking and highly valued team, you can expect to take a lead in facilitating all things commercial, including applications for payment, variations, and final accounts from Contractors via CEMAR, ensuring that they are processed within the appropriate Service Level Agreement (SLA). Due diligence is also key, ensuring audits are carried out and site visits are conducted to validate the quantities being applied for.

The must haves
In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;
- A strong understanding and experience of commercial estimating and benchmarking, gained within the Telecoms, Utility or Construction sectors.
- Proven ability to accurately measure quantities from drawings
- Strong numeracy and excel skills with the ability to understand, manipulate and present large quantities of numerical data as actionable insight
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience with NEC4 contracts
The other stuff we are looking for
We'd also love you to bring;
- Experience with Oracle and CEMAR would be an advantage
- RICS accreditation would be desirable, but not crucial
