Job Description

This role sits within the Audit & Risk function of the Finance & Strategy division, working within a team of professional practitioners, providing assurance services to Virgin Media O2.

The role is responsible for the end-to-end management of the Speak Up Whistleblowing processes and systems, ensuring they operate optimally and efficiently together with supporting and proactively implementing change and developments as required and always seeking continuous improvement.

It is required for you to engage with Whistleblowing Reporters to ensure all concerns are addressed and processed in line with our internal procedures. Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of concerns raised to the accurate team for investigation, advice, along with the classification of Whistleblowing concerns

The role also takes ownership for Policy Management processes, ensuring the effective and efficient internal control activities over the Company Policy Management (CPM) process across the Business, including subsidiaries. Accuracy of data is a requirement within this role for reporting within Virgin Media O2, including for Audit Committee, Executive Committee and Shareholder reporting and any other audience.

In addition, the role requires support and delivery of any other Audit & Risk activities as the need arises.

The must haves

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;

  • Previous experience of leading Whistleblowing/case management processes and or performing investigations is preferred
  • Strong and confident working professional, who is comfortable in dealing with conflict and/or difficult situations but who is also able to build effective relationships with key stakeholders
  • Excellent time management, organisational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and projects optimally through to completion.
  • Excellent relationship building skills, building effective internal and external networks of contacts across all levels of the business.

The other stuff we are looking for

We'd also love you to bring;

  • Solid understanding and experience of using Microsoft O365 applications, specifically: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
  • Able to adopt a flexible approach, multi-task and deliver to deadlines with the able to manage and prioritise workload
  • Attention to Detail and Quality Control, demonstrating pride in quality and reliability of delivery.
  • Ability to work independently and handle priorities.
