Job Description
The Finance team are on a mission to transform Virgin Media O2’s planning and forecasting processes through building automated driver-based planning models in Anaplan across all business units. The Technical Owner role will play a key part in delivering digital transformation at Virgin Media O2.
These Anaplan models will improve forecast accuracy and give stakeholders a deeper understanding into the performance drivers behind important business KPIs across the company’s P&L, giving the Finance teams the tools they need to drive better strategic decision making.
The Technical Owner will be responsible for ensuring all Anaplan Finance models are operating efficiently and adding value to stakeholders across Finance. This will include running processes such as month end, forecast cycles and producing budget outputs. Therefore, a key requirement for the role will be technical expertise in Anaplan.
You will also be responsible for minor improvements and bug fixes and for any major enhancements will work collaboratively with the CoE to deliver the changes. This will be enabled by being part of a cross functional Anaplan model building squad where they can access the expertise and technical support from the CoE, as well as interacting closely with Product Owners who will set the overall prioritisation for future model enhancements.
The role will also work closely with the Finance leaders along with Group FP&A, to ensure the models deliver consistent and accurate financial forecasts to feed into the overall P&L, whilst also reducing the manual processing required to build the outputs.
