This is a 6 month fixed term contract

Here at Virgin Media O2, we are looking for a Commercial Research Manager to join our dynamic team bringing to life some of our most exciting ventures. In this role, you'll act as the driving force of our consumer insights, working directly with the Squad Directors and Leads.

You will own and run a research-based approach to answering our consumer and commercial questions conducting analyses and sharing results and insights with senior stakeholders. You will also be a thought leader, helping to shape our thinking on all aspect of the consumer and market fit.

The ideal candidate will have worked in a consumer industry, planning and delivering research projects and be willing to throw themselves into the mind of customers in new product categories. They will come armed with a passion for data, strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex findings into clear, strategic recommendations.

The must haves

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;

  • Experience working as a market/consumer research analyst or in a similar role
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience of designing & running consumer research initiatives
  • Demonstrated success predicting market trends
  • Exceptional analytical thinking and the capacity to understand and communicate complex results in a simple, digestible manner
  • Experience operating at pace with ambiguity and comfortable dealing with fast-moving, rapidly changing priorities

The other stuff we are looking for We'd also love you to bring;

  • A passion for learning about new industries, product categories, and getting in the mind of the consumer
  • Advanced computer literacy skills and a familiarity with search engines and web analytics
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and mining
  • Familiarity using customer relationship management software such as Salesforce
