Job Description

This is a 6 month fixed term contract

Here at Virgin Media O2, we are looking for an analytical and thorough Commercial Research Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll act as a consumer insights partner for the Squad Directors and Leads.

You will provide research-based views on consumer and commercial questions, suggest and run analysis to tackle those challenges, align those with the affected stakeholders and constantly evolve our commercial thinking through data.

The ideal candidate will have worked in a consumer industry with a passion for data, strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex findings into clear, strategic recommendations.

The must haves

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;

  • Experience working as a market/consumer research analyst or in a similar role
  • Comprehensive knowledge of statistics and experience with statistical technologies such as MATLAB and Python
  • Knowledge of VBA or SQL programming language
  • Advanced computer literacy skills and a familiarity with search engines and web analytics
  • Demonstrated success predicting market trends
  • Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking abilities with a passion for statistical research and analysis
  • Great capacity to understand and relay complex data across industries
  • Experience of operating at pace, with ambiguity and be comfortable dealing with fast-moving, rapidly changing priorities

The other stuff we are looking for We'd also love you to bring;

  • Knowledge of data warehousing and mining
  • Familiarity using customer relationship management software such as Salesforce
