Assistant Quantity Surveyor

We have a new and exciting opportunity to join the Network Expansion team in Bellshill as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor! This is a chance for you to build your skills and knowledge in Quantity Surveying within a close knit, supportive team. In this role you'll play a pivotal part in the success of the team helping to undertake the contract and cost administration required on regional projects. You’ll also assist in providing cost management support on contracts across multiple business units.

You’ll get to know all things commercial including applications for payment, variations, and final accounts from Contractors - ensuring they are processed within the appropriate Service Level Agreement (SLA). You’ll also conduct site visits, so a full driving license is required.

The must haves

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;

• Strong numeracy and Excel skills with a proven ability to understand, manipulate and present large quantities of numerical data as actionable insight
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience with construction contracts and a willingness to undertake site measures, with support
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships and work as part of a team
• A methodical approach with excellent attention to detail

The other stuff we are looking for

We'd also love you to bring;

• Experience with Oracle and CEMAR would be an advantage
• An understanding and experience of the Telecoms, Utility or Construction sectors.
• As the successful candidate will be working across multiple workstreams, good time management and a collaborative approach is important
