What you’ll be doing…
This position includes project management and operational elements. The Sr. Manager will lead Process Engineering and Optimization efforts to support the Reverse Operation consisting of Returns and Testing, Finished Goods, and Accessory operations. This individual will develop and lead the implementation of strategic projects and will be responsible to drive costs out of the operation. The selected candidate will develop and lead initiatives for the operation and develop the standards which will be used to negotiate contracts, set pricing, and onboard new suppliers. The Sr. Manager will also drive Change Management efforts of the operation as we seek drastic transformation in a complex operation. Additionally, the person will contribute to strategic changes to the operation which will span several business units working closely with several cross functional teams including but not limited to Device Quality and Repair, Monetization, Inventory Planning, Device Marketing, Business Transformation, and our 3PL to ensure proper implementation of programs and initiatives. The Sr. Manager should be an innovative thinker which can drive process optimization to several strategic programs spanning hundreds of processes.
Developing strategies to drive cost out of the business, including identifying revenue opportunities with cross functional teams.
Contributing to process optimization for the multiple operations.
Contributing to all transition and transformational planning, execution, reporting and related escalation management.
Driving project management initiatives to support overall Device Supply Chain initiatives, including Business Transformation efforts.
Driving change management efforts for the Reverse Operation.
Communicating regularly to senior leadership regarding operational updates and associated financial benefits.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
Experience in the wireless industry, specifically Returns Processing and/or Service and Repair with strong competency in supply chain operations, program or process management, and metric development and oversight.
Experience negotiating business and technical terms, as well as KPIs and SLAs.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Supply Chain, Engineering or an Operations related field.
Persuasive & effective communicator with the ability to clearly articulate a vision to a broad range of audiences.
Excellent forward thinking and analytical skills.
Effectively function in a fast paced and fast changing environment.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Six Sigma Belt or similar statistical and quality experience.
Master’s degree.
MBA or proven work experience that required strong financial and business acumen.
