What you’ll be doing...
Verizon is looking for a dynamic and talented individual for managing and developing Managed security solutions in the Technology and Product development organization. This portfolio includes platforms like Atlas, SAGE, OG and Security products like MDR, Network Detection and Response, the Managed Security Services platform/services and any other new/additional platform product initiatives for the VBG Cyber security product domain spanning the 5 NIST cybersecurity pillars of identify, Protect, Detect, Respond and Recover. This role includes the development of new products and incremental features as well as overall lifecycle management of the existing products and services.
- Deploying and managing AWS infrastructure, including EC2 instances, S3 buckets, and VPCs.
- Setup and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or AWS CodePipeline.
- Owning the containerization tasks using Docker, supporting the packaging and deployment of applications.
- Implement and optimize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Work on version control, branching, and merging strategies to ensure smooth CI/CD processes.
- Implementing non-functional requirements - performance, scalability, reliability, extensibility etc.
- Write and execute unit tests and assist in integration testing to ensure software reliability.
- Create and maintain documentation for infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
- Monitor and optimize AWS costs by implementing cost-effective solutions and analyzing resource usage.
- Conduct security assessments and audits, addressing vulnerabilities and ensuring compliance.
- Understanding Cyber Security Product level requirements and converting them into technical requirements.
- Working closely with the business team, and other internal IT teams to deliver projects on time.
- Evaluating and recommending new technologies and updating versions of existing ones.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of work experience.
- Experience in a broad range of AWS services, Java REST API, Spring(6.x)/ Spring Boot including compute, storage, networking, security, and monitoring CI/CD tools.
- Knowledge of Docker for containerization and Kubernetes for orchestration.
- Proficient in scripting languages like Shell, or PowerShell.
- Experience in other Cloud technologies like Azure and Google Cloud.
- Experience in working with cross-functional teams and projects.
- Proficiency in Angular (version 10+) for building modern and dynamic user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Implement server-side logic and build RESTful APIs using Node.js.
- Work with databases (e.g., MongoDB, MySQL, Oracle) for data storage, retrieval, and basic optimization.
- Knowledge of Git and the ability to work with branches, pull requests, and merges.
- Experience in Designing/Developing reusable framework.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
- AWS Solution Architect or above Certification
- DevOps Eng Certification
