What you’ll be doing…
You will be joining the 5G Acceleration team as an Associate Director of Strategic Business Operations. 5G Acceleration is part of Verizon Business and is a mission focused organization, working across the company to create, build, and deliver the solutions unlocked by the next-generation wireless infrastructure like private wireless networking, neutral host, network slicing, and edge computing.
As an Associate Director of Strategic Business Operations, you will be leading a team that delivers operational excellence; ensuring a strong and lean operating model, that all the critical support functions are executed, and the team has a strong foundation for success.
Responsibilities of this team include:
Executive communications, including managing the presentations for internal and external meetings including operations reviews, staff and team events, and speaking engagements.
Business intelligence and performance reporting including sales operations for the technical sales team
Learning, development, and culture including developing comprehensive programs for training.
You will personally help identify, prioritize, structure, and lead multiple projects and initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
Often you will be working with limited direction, usually within a complex and often ambiguous environment, to drive rigorous, fact-based recommendations to senior management while collaborating with stakeholders across the organization
You will work with all levels of management, including executive leadership, so strong communication skills are required. In addition, you will work to establish strong partnerships both within the 5G Acceleration organization and with our partner organizations such as Finance, HR, Learning & Development, Technology, IT, and Marketing.
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
Senior executive staff support experience with demonstrable expertise in executive deck creation, delivery, and meeting planning logistics
Project management experience, including experience with cross-functional and/or cross-area projects
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Superior quantitative, problem-solving, technical and analytical skills
Demonstrated ability to be flexible and work in a high-energy, dynamic, and sometimes unstructured environment
Ability to effectively relay complex information to others in any level of the business remotely and in person
Experience influencing teams to meet deadlines, while building positive relationships
Ability to understand and navigate the organizational landscape
Strong knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office Applications including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, or other document preparation/project management tools
Ability to create highly professional and informative presentations within Verizon brand guidelines
Knowledge of G Suite and Google Drive applications including Gmail, Google Sheets, and Google Slides
Even better if you have:
Ability to work, creatively and collaboratively, under ambiguous conditions.
Ability to influence without authority and experience working in a large company.
Ability to succinctly and persuasively communicate via slides.
2+ years of wireline/wireless industry experience
Master’s degree in relevant field or MBA
In-depth knowledge of Verizon products and services, functions, policies, and procedures.
Financial experience or knowledge including revenue reporting, capital planning, budgeting, or expense allocation
Database creation and implementation experience
The ability to provide simplified data visualization or illustrations on operational data, technical solutions, and complicated business processes
The ability to deliver concise storyline and strategy updates for key senior updates and operational reviews
Experience managing the production of executive communication deliverables that require collaboration across multiple business units and leadership teams
Where you’ll be working
In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.
