What you’ll be doing...
As part of the Financial Planning & Analytical Services (FPAS), the Associate Director of Data Science & Augmented Analytics will own and perform data science and augmented analytics programs and projects as well as lead and drive end to end solutions for AI/ML use cases and also guide and nurture highly skilled data science professionals at all levels. Driving data-derived insights across the business domain by developing advanced statistical models, machine learning algorithms and computational algorithms based on business initiatives.
Develop a team of professionals and guide overall strategic & tactical direction.
Ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial planning, reporting & analytics for the business.
Oversee the creation and communication of executive reviews, financial/operational storytelling, and analytics insights.
Drive continuous improvement and scope expansion efforts through project identification & prioritization, resource alignment & utilization, digital and automation tool & system integration strategy.
Be a trusted advisor by providing valuable decision support and guidance to Business Partners.
Perform and present operational reviews to FPAS executive leadership on the team’s strategy, development, initiatives, accomplishments, risks, and areas of opportunity.
Actively participate in the cultural and professional development of FPAS as a world class organization through Mentor/Mentee relationships and various activities offered.
Leading a strong internal data analytics team to support the business.
Partnering with others to understand business challenges.
Crafting creative approaches to uncover the biggest opportunities for cost and time savings.
Defining and driving the analytics strategy and modeling approaches.
Building business cases and translating findings into practical business implications.
Driving the adoption of analytics in decision making.
What we’re looking for...
The Financial Planning & Analytical Services (FPAS) is seeking a highly motivated candidate to manage multiple programs and projects. The Associate Director is responsible for building & maintaining comprehensive analytical solutions like Forecasting as a Service, Explain ability framework, Funnel Forecasting, Customer Profitability etc., and also performing analyses that impact Bad Debt, Cash flow, Credit Score cut models, etc., among others. This position is centrally designed to work across the FP&A, marketing, Fin Ops and Onshore/Offshore teams/organizations to find optimization opportunities and help with ad-hoc requests for executive reporting. The breadth of analyses this position focuses on gives this role the opportunity to interact with decision makers across the enterprise, and directly improve overall EBITDA for the company. This is a high visibility/high impact role that offers growth potential within finance organization.
You'll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Four or more years of relevant work experience.
Experience with quantitative modeling, statistics, or data mining.
Experience with all phases of end-to-end Analytics project, such as (but not limited to): Ingestion, Munging, Model Building, Validation, Operationalization, Monitoring.
Experience building models using statistical techniques such as Supervised and Unsupervised Machine Learning models, Deep learning, Text classification etc.
Knowledge of Python, SQL (Teradata/GCP, etc.), PySpark, Excel and/or other languages and tools.
Experience presenting to and influencing functional leaders and partners.
Ability to work effectively independently and willingness to learn new technologies.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Problem solving, analytical, and research skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Experience working in analytical projects in telecom (or) finance domain.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Experience with visualization software like Qlik sense, Tableau, or Looker.
Coding experience (e.g., C/C++, Java or Python).
Demonstrated communication and influence skills.
Experience in SQL (Teradata, GCP- Big Query), ETL and data lake (Hadoop).
Experience in integrating any of the GenAI tools.
Experience working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
