Vattenfall is looking for the right person to fill the position of Service Technician in the Business Unit Offshore Wind, for the Hollandse Kust Zuid (HKZ) O&M team.

As a Service Technician you will be part of a dedicated service team consisting of over 30 professionals, delivering general troubleshooting operations and daily maintenance to our HKZ windfarm (existing of 140 offshore wind turbines).

What will you do?
Your duties and responsibilities as Service Technician include fault diagnosis and trend analysis, excellent service delivery, teaching and assessing technicians on the job, providing safety and technical reports and maintain documentation.

Location
You will start your shift from our site office in IJmuiden.

Qualifications

This role requires someone with multiple years of experience working as a technician, ideally within the wind industry and having a background and broad understanding of Electrical Engineering. In addition, knowledge of mechanics and hydraulics is desirable. You have experienced working in operations and maintenance and/or large/complex construction projects and have a problem-solving approach to reduce outages. You are very safety-conscious and always lead with the highest of safety standards towards yourself and those around you. Having experience with working in (offshore) wind farm projects in The Netherlands and high voltage experience are seen as advantageous.

Since we work across several countries, good command of the English language (both verbally and written) is important as well as excellent communication and leadership skills. Dutch language skills are preferred however not required.

You will be a competent individual who is able to work in a dynamic environment and will have the ability to work shifts at the project location in IJmuiden. This role also requires you to have some knowledge of health and safety legislations . Due to the location of the O&M base a valid driving licence is required.
