Vattenfall Staff Function People & Culture is now looking for the right person to fill the position of

Director of People Services & Country Advice for Denmark, UK, Poland and Finland

reporting to Vice President People Services. The position is organized within Vattenfall Staff Function People & Culture - People Services, supporting specifically the countries Denmark, UK, Poland and Finland. The role is located in London, UK.

Your Job
The Director of People Services & Country Advice is entrusted with the comprehensive management of HR operations in four countries (Denmark, UK, Poland, Finland) ensuring effectiveness and efficiency.

The groupwide People Services function aims for a common service approach and common service offering towards all Vattenfall countries. Processes are designed as global as possible and as local as needed. Services are delivered through a hybrid model of local inhouse service centers and vendors for specific processes. A central service center is currently expanding its scope for global processes and back office tasks. The inhouse service teams for Denmark, UK, Poland and Finland work with local service providers for payroll. All countries work within one system landscape.

The element of Country Advice applies to the responsibilities for giving advice on a.o. local legal HR topics, in some countries specific compensation and reward questions and if applicable for that country also codetermination topics.

You play a crucial part in delivering a valuable HR service that supports the countries in scope. Your commitment extends to steering transformational plans, guaranteeing the realization of short and long-term business goals and ensuring the proper execution of the people strategy to meet business needs. A key target will be to strengthen the common processes across countries, to implement best practices and to strive for optimal allocation of tasks and synergies within the wider People Services organization.

Next to your international leadership responsibilities you will for the coming year also lead the local UK team, being ‘double hatted’ manager for a team of 5 FTE that delivers people services and country advice to our business areas and staff functions in the UK .

Qualifications

Who are you?

Our best candidate has a relevant University degree or equivalent and extensive experience as a leader within People & Culture and at least 5 years of experience as an HR Manager within an international organization in the UK, with the responsibility for daily service delivery/HR operations in multiple countries. You are an experienced change leader and you have a proven track record in leading international teams. You enjoy ensuring that HR daily services are running smoothly and with high quality. You are able to work and lead with different prerequisites, needs and actions within your area of responsibility.

As a person you have strong integrity and an agile mindset combined with a passion for creating true business value. As a leader you excel in communication, collaboration and relationship skills and you effortlessly interact with colleagues, managers and internal and external stakeholders at different levels in all countries through delegation, follow-up and trust.
