About the role

The Continuous Improvement Analyst will work alongside the Service Development team and play a key role in driving quick, practical improvement initiatives that promote efficiency gains within VDI. A strong focus will be placed on streamlining account-specific and member data processes, ensuring teams can work more effectively. This role also supports fast, data-driven decision making by defining and monitoring KPI data to identify opportunities for enhancement.


Success in this role requires a deep understanding of the various team functions and processes, along with the ability to problem-solve and deliver solutions at pace. The Continuous Improvement Analyst will actively support teams who may be newer, slower to adapt, or experiencing challenged with change – providing hands-on guidance and clear communication. This person will be responsive to requests for investigation and support, acting as an approachable champion of the continuous improvement culture within VDI.

What will I be doing?

Contribute to Consistently Improving the Data Service

  • Proactively identify quick-win opportunities that deliver immediate efficiencies, working closely with teams to understand operational challenges and remove barriers to smooth working.
  • Assess and optimise existing workflows and processes with a focus on simplifying tasks and reducing inefficiencies.
  • Improve account-specific and member-specific data tasks, offering hands-on support to operational account managers to improve turnaround times across the data service.

Data for Operations

  • Be a knowledgeable and reliable expert in utilising in-house software systems, including data input and analyses of weights information.
  • Gain a solid understanding of the high-level systems as well as possess expertise in specific business-as-usual tasks.

Process Reviews & Monitoring Performance KPIs

  • Lead regular process reviews with a focus on identifying fast, actionable improvements that can be implemented.
  • Facilitate workshops that encourage open discussion, especially supporting teams who may be hesitant or unsure about changes.
  • Develop business cases for proposed continuous improvement.
  • Track, report, and communicate progress and outcomes via reports and performance metric tracking.

Ensure Data Integrity

  • Analyse and interpret data using reports and statistical techniques to provide insights to the department.
  • Rigorously interrogate data and assumptions to ensure accuracy and reliability, especially in areas where errors may slow down teams.

Be an Agent for Change

  • Assist teams in adopting new tools, systems, and workflows.
  • Coach and mentor teams and individuals at all levels of the department, focusing on building confidence in those who may be new or resistant to change.
  • Ensure any continuous improvement changes are inclusive, approachable, and supported by the department, with a clear focus on delivering the expected outcomes quickly and effectively.

What we need from you

  • Experience of working with large data set in Microsoft Excel
  • Must have strong analytical and problem solving ability
  • Positive, proactive and solution-orientated
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • High standards of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience using VBA and SQL is desirable
  • Operational process improvement experience is desirable
  • Must be educated to degree level or equivalent
