We are looking for a talented and dedicated leader to join the Colleague Computing Doman which is responsible for the Workplace and Collaboration Services across the organisation.

The Technology Architect is responsible for the architecture landscape of Workspace technologies, Identity and Access Architecture (IAM) and oversees key technical and design decisions from ideation through to implementation. You collaborate closely with Heads of Product, Heads of Technology and other key stakeholders, and have a shared responsibility for the overall business outcomes for your area. You act as your domain’s spokesperson in senior technical engagements with other domains.

You are an advocate for state-of-the-art Workspace and Identity architecture within the subdomain and are well-connected within the global architecture communities.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • As a Technology Architect, you are responsible for the creation of technology and organisational transformation activities and technology direction. In collaboration with technology leaders including the Head of Security Architecture and other senior architects, you will help shape a vision and strategy regarding Colleague Solution architecture to translate business opportunities and customer expectations into innovative IT solutions within cloud and security domains.
  • Work closely with architecture teams across the organisation to ensure that Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions are seamlessly integrated into the broader IT architecture. This collaborative approach aims to align IAM strategies with overall business and technology objectives.
  • Design comprehensive IAM solutions that leverage the capabilities of Microsoft Entra ID and other Entra services. This includes ensuring robust identity management, seamless authentication and effective access control mechanisms. The goal is to create a secure and scalable client services base infrastructure that supports current and future organisational needs.
  • You’ll enhance the capability of the wider team through continuously exploring new ways to improve the quality of solutions, ensuring that project/ product technical options are considered, and recommended approaches are clearly designed with valuable solutions.
  • You have ownership of Active Directory and Microsoft Entra architecture roadmap within Colleague Computing and will drive maturity improvements in this space by adopting suitable latest industry trends.
  • You identify and implement improvement architectural practices in an agile environment and map the discrepancy between the current processes and the desired state to continuously innovate the IT processes, adapting them to market trends.
  • You ensure that technical implementation is in accordance with the enterprise and solution architecture standards, and the objectives of the organisation. In addition to maintaining a helicopter view of your technology landscape, you also ensure correct implementation of the correct components, standards, design principles and patterns for software development.
  • You maintain a strong understanding of the bigger picture, keeping yourself continuously informed of the latest innovations, technologies, patterns and practices in Workspace and Identity technologies.
  • Ensure that IAM solutions can integrate with a diverse set of platforms and technologies beyond Active Directory and Entra ID, supporting interoperability and secure access across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

ABOUT YOU

  • An experienced architect authentic servant leader with passion for technology and Identity and Workplace architecture.
  • Holistic consideration and further development of our hybrid environment of the client system, virtual system with the inclusion of the identity infrastructure.
  • Designing IAM Solutions: Developing comprehensive IAM solutions with Entra ID & Active Directory and other Entra (Azure) services. Ensuring robust identity governance, seamless authentication, and effective access control mechanisms.
  • Managing Identity Governance and Administration frameworks to automate identity lifecycle processes like provisioning, deprovisioning, and role management across the TUI Group.
  • Proven track record in designing architecture blueprints and the optimisation of them to drive development and innovation.
  • Proficiency in translating business vision into viable technical strategies and in conveying such strategies back to business stakeholders.
  • Experience in working in an agile environment and able to integrate architecture practises in an agile way of working.
  • Be a great communicator and facilitator comfortable working across organisational and market boundaries and managing senior stakeholders. Able to disagree yet align.

  • Customer centric, passionate about delivering great digital products and services.
