Job Description

TUI Airline Training (TAT) is a team within the TUI Group focusing on airline training activities. We interlink local airlines and group aviation functions to share expertise, collaborate effectively, drive continuous improvement and create economies of scale. Reporting to the TAT Ground Training Manager, the TAT Safety Training Manager is responsible for the coordination of the pilot & cabin crew safety & emergency training policies, training methods and training procedures. The key output of the role is to proactively create, develop and manage group wide training material, processes and procedures. This role will provide support & guidance for group AOCs on the full range of training processes to ensure effective, common and efficient safety training delivery and to ensure that instructor and trainee documentation is maintained within each AOC in a consistent group wide manner to ensure business and regulatory compliance.

TUI Airline Training provide direct and indirect services to the airlines of the TUI Group and external organisations. This role is responsible for working with the TUI Group AOCs and collaboratively creating common training policies & training procedures for group wide and for coordinating and assisting external training opportunities.

This role may be based in Luton, Zaventem, Rijswijk, Hannover or Stockholm. We are happy to consider on a hybrid working basis with a blend of remote and office work in line with local requirements. There will also be a need for regular travel.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • Responsible for the development of group wide safety and emergency training material & training guidance, in conjunction with the TAT Training Content Manager to ensure regulatory compliant, updated and efficient training
  • Able to support Train the Trainer delivery and use feedback to adapt training to allow maximum impact
  • Coordinate and maintain oversight and support of AOC Safety Training Managers who will be responsible within their AOC for the adoption and implementation of common group training objectives
  • Provide training material which provides an engaging training experience using a portfolio of systems and methods of delivery
  • Ensure the maintenance of the TAT audit program for safety & emergency procedures to ensure continuous improvement incorporating regulatory and internal compliance including ongoing assessment, monitoring and support to ensure the application of these procedures and reporting on results and outputs
  • Support and coordinate external Cabin Crew training opportunities to be delivered by TUI Airline Training
  • Maintain and manage close working relationships with all TAT team members & AOC teams across directorates


ABOUT YOU

  • A successful experienced safety & emergency procedures manager with great people skills
  • Determined and resourceful with the ability to innovate
  • A good planner who is flexible and can meet deadlines
  • Organised and resilient with the ability to work within a matrix management structure.
  • Someone who recognises the importance of world class safety training
  • Experience in airline training and an understanding of the EASA/UK & NAA regulations
  • Excellent communicator, written and verbal with attention to detail.
  • IT literate with good skills in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products
