We are looking for a talented and dedicated technical enthusiast to join our “Corporate” technology organisation. It is a global team within TUI technology responsible for Finance, HR and other corporate solutions and services with a focus on SAP applications. We are a multi-disciplinary team of experts across Architecture, Engineering, Application Support and Agile Delivery providing central services across various countries.

ABOUT THE JOB

As a System and SAP Administrator you are a practitioner and an advocate of state-of-the-art infrastructure services and SAP technology products, including awareness for audit and security requirements. Working in an agile environment and keeping up with the ever-evolving technical landscape you are a lifelong learner and like to think outside the box.

  • You will drive the operation and maintenance of our Corporate systems and applications through the entire technology stack.
  • Your focus is on server and system operation, supplemented by administration of databases and SAP/None-SAP applications.
  • You contribute your experience of secure and stable system operation and take an active part in upcoming projects of system migrations to AWS and release upgrades to e.g. SAP S/4HANA.
  • You represent our team as a strong partner to our stakeholders.
  • You will perform installation, configuration and maintenance of our system landscapes, including the technology stack of:
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux & Windows Server
  • IIS, Apache HTTP & Apache Tomcat
  • SAP applications on HANA, DB2 and Oracle databases
  • Ensure stable system operation, monitor and analyze system performance.
  • You will design and implement patch, backup & restore processes.
  • You are the main contact for application and development teams on all system-related topics.
  • You will prepare architectural design, technical specifications and other documentation.
  • You will implement our security guidelines for the technology stack used.
  • You will proactively assist in evaluation of new SAP and None-SAP solutions and technologies.

ABOUT YOU

  • Excellent technical understanding of Linux and Windows system administration with a minimum of 5 years of experience
  • Expanded know-how in SAP Basis administration
  • Experienced handling of shell environments, including Linux administrator skills
  • Deep knowledge in AWS technologies
  • Solid understanding of IIS, Apache HTTP & Apache Tomcat server operation
  • Good understanding in usage and mapping of on-premise infrastructure and cloud services
  • Communication: Ability to abstract, clear and effective expression, English language mandatory, German optional
  • Analytical: Identify, analyze and solve complex issues, sharing knowledge
  • Time management: Planning and organization of activities and tasks and meet deadlines
  • Flexibility: Problem solving mentality, work independently, identify solutions, acquire new skills on your own, handle changing requirements
  • Customer orientation: Service oriented way of thinking, understand customer’s needs and expectations, reliable to others
