Job Description

This is an opportunity for a trainee who is currently studying and looking for experience in sustainability

Closing Date: 31st of January

We are looking for a Sustainability Trainee who will be supporting the TUI Group and TUI Musement’s Sustainability team in a number of strategic projects, mostly related to Experiences in destinations, eco-mobility , Carbon Tracking and other ESG reporting for different business areas. Interest in the topic of sustainability is desirable, no prior experience in this field is necessary. The individual needs to be registered at a university.

Within the TUI Group Sustainability team, you will be supporting the development of TUI Musement’s strategic sustainability projects. This includes the creation of information materials and communications to be shared with internal colleagues in destinations, information and materials for external use by suppliers and supporting in the reporting processes going forward. Depending on the duration of you traineeship, you might also have the opportunity to support in other ongoing projects.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • This is a short-term part-time job opportunity between 4-6 months in length
  • Support the implementation of the Sustainability Strategy in different areas or the business
  • Support the review of our internal sustainability management system, based on sustainable tourism industry criteria, in order to update it whereas necessary
  • Coordinating with different central teams in TUI MM to review and document their processes where they interlink with our sustainability management system
  • Support the development of TUI MM’s strategic sustainability projects, related to experiences, mobility, Carbon emissions monitoring and reporting and other operational areas of the business
  • Coordination with destination teams for the implementation of the strategy and the criteria
  • Monitor and report implementation progress
  • Support with the internal communications of the development of the Strategy and the projects’ implementation. This includes the creation of information materials and communications to be shared with internal colleagues in destinations, information and materials for external use by suppliers and supporting in the reporting processes going forward

ABOUT YOU

  • You´re currently a student with an interest to expand your experience in sustainability
  • Excellent verbal and written English
  • Interest in sustainability
  • Ability to create and develop strong collaborative working relationships with peers and stakeholders
  • Methodical, responsible and organized working approach
  • Strong communication & presentation skills (oral and written)
  • Strong Microsoft Office 365 skills
