Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a strategic and experienced Social Media Manager to take the lead in shaping a brand-new area within our business. You’ll be at the forefront of bringing our retail stores to life on our social media channels, including the governance, strategic direction, management and reporting of 300+ local social media pages.

As well as identifying opportunities to showcase our retail shops and colleagues on the TUI UK handles, you will support and coach a network of over 300 travel advisers and regional experts to build engaged communities on their local pages, whilst ensuring content is relevant, accurate and on-brand.

If you have excellent stakeholder management skills and are well-versed in social media best-practice you could be the person we’re looking for.

At TUI we believe that work is something you do not somewhere you go, therefore we are pleased to advise we can consider a hybrid working model for this role where the successful candidate would collaborate with colleagues in our Luton office once a week. The closing date for applications will be Friday 6th September.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • You’ll take the lead on the management and strategy of TUI UK’s 300+ local social media pages.
  • You’ll devise a clear strategy and role for our local pages which complements our wider social media ecosystem and set relevant KPIs to track performance against the strategy.
  • Together with your Social Media Executive, you’ll build strong relationships with our travel advisers and regional experts, ensuring they have a well-stocked bank of social-first assets and the capability to create bespoke content and build an engaged online community.
  • You’ll report on overall and individual page performance on a weekly and monthly basis, providing clear learnings and recommendations for stores to implement.
  • You will also look for other ways to showcase TUI stores on our social media channels, working closely with your peers to ensure content is driving footfall to stores as well as traffic to site.
  • You’ll work closely with internal teams such as Retail Marketing, Brand, Content and Partnerships
  • You’ll also lead on paid store opening campaigns, targeting prospective customers with paid ads to drive footfall.

ABOUT YOU

  • Proven experience managing social media accounts, including developing social strategies, managing online communities and executing high performing social media campaigns.
  • You’ll be an experienced line manager, able to coach and support your team to deliver.
  • You’ll have proficiency in using social media management and analytics tools and experience reporting on key platform metrics and making actionable recommendations.
  • You’ll be knowledgeable about social media best-practice and native content capture/editing, with the confidence to deliver hands-on training on this topic.
  • You’ll have excellent organisation, written and verbal communication skills, and a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • You’ll be an excellent relationship builder as you’ll be required to build relationships with key stakeholders such as Retail Marketing, Brand, Content, Partnerships, Legal, Finance & Commercial.
  • You’ll have a passion for travel and excellent knowledge of the travel industry.
  • You must be willing and able to travel to our Luton office once a week.
