Job Description
As Revenue Executive for TUI Group Purchasing, you will support in increasing the business and the market share for TUI Group by renegotiation of competitive late Rates, Board Supplements, positive availability changes in the TUI Group contracted Hotels and ensuring continuous maximum availability, competitive, advantaged rates, and the best availability in the market due to the customer demand.
The Revenue Executive will manage strategically important (high volume and chains) hotelier relationships that have a higher level of commercial responsibility, higher volume of commitments and guarantees with a lower administrative focus.

ABOUT THE JOB
- Be responsible for the successful sourcing of special offers and discounts for the relevant destinations and source markets for TUI’s more strategically important (high volume) hotels and chains.
- You will be taking the corrective actions to maximise the Tour Operator’s sales and profitability through continuous improvement of competitive accommodation offers by considering the respective source market targets and/or available flight seats and the competitive price level in the market
- Understand and review the booking sales trend, competitor landscape and marketplace and contact suppliers proactively on a multi-market level
- Maintain availability based on source market’s needs.
- Be responsible for the successful maintenance of availability based on source markets need/ request.
- Optimise source market bed position by challenging proposed stop sales, requesting extra allocation, and reducing release periods
- Permanently monitoring and supervising the actions by hotel partners within Purchasing systems and give constant support to ensure the minimum impact on sales and availability changes communicated by Hotel Partners (such as allotments decreases, total allotment changes, reduction on release dates, request status stops, stop sales etc).
- Analyse KPI reports, and targets as agreed with source markets.
- strong relationships and ensure regular direct communication with Hotel Partners
- Act as the primary Revenue contact person (Ambassador) on behalf of TUI towards the supplier and contribute to the common vision and shared set of goals.
- Liaise closely with key stakeholders to ensure updates on offers and availability on hotel level to identify Revenue risks and opportunities.
- Monitor shortfall risks and communicate risks in conjunction with the Purchasing team and local yield teams.
- Understand beds to seats and support markets strategies effectively
- You will be responsible for a successful use of TUI’s web communication platform by Hotel Partners
- Permanently monitor the reservation notifications (All Reservations & Reservation Alerts)
- Monitor requested bookings, extra allocation requests communicated to Hotel Partners to ensure that all bookings have been processed by the hoteliers and the minimum processing time and maximum confirmation rate actions are done by Hotel Partners to the requests for all markets / all systems
- Monitoring and handling of controlled allocations, stop sales and release dates and follow up with suppliers if required. That does include all assigned markets and systems.
- Support and collaborate with markets and TUI Musement regarding customer focused activities. E.g., Opening, closing hotels, reservations, overbookings.
ABOUT YOU
- Experience in commercial negotiations with high volume suppliers preferred
- Experience of working within the travel industry or a tour operator would be desirable
- Relevant studies in Tourism and/or Business Management advantageous
- Strong Commercial Acumen and highly analytical thinking/numerical reasoning skills
- Service-oriented mind-set with a strong customer focus
- Excellent negotiation, persuasion, and feedback skills
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal - need to feel comfortable to challenge supplier decisions and ability to find compromises with the aim to create win-win situations
- Good time management and process orientated
- Target and results focused with the ability to work under pressure, prioritize and deliver to tight deadlines
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and comfort around learning new systems/technology
- Knowledge of Group Purchasing System would be advantageous
- Local language skills are desirable in addition to excellent written and verbal English language skills.
