Job Description

TUI Airline Flight Operations is the single service provider to TUI AOCs responsible for all operating policies documentation, performance tools and flight operations support. The TUI Airline Flight Operations function operates as a multi-disciplinary team of experts driving efficiency and innovation.
TUI fly Netherlands is the Dutch AOC holder of the TUI Group.
As Pilot Manager you will support the Lead Pilot Manager regarding pilot matters related to the TUI flight crew population in the Dutch AOC. In the Dutch AOC, you are responsible for the well-being, personal development and engagement of the pilot community and you help to create efficient, optimal and flexible processes related to the different internal stakeholders and the general pilot workforce.

ABOUT THE JOB

• As Pilot Manager you will support the Lead Pilot Manager in managing the pilot community (+/-200FTE).
• You understand, embrace and spread the company’s vision, mission, goals and values towards the pilot community. You proactively stimulate an open and positive, Just Culture, which enhances the relationship between the office functions and the pilots.
• You define, optimize, analyze and support processes and procedures with the different stakeholders. You will continuously and pro-actively search for improvements and optimizations in order to ensure to look for ways to do thinks safer, better, faster, cheaper.
• You are responsible for an active People Management: team collaboration, team development, facilitate and support individual development needs, give positive feedback (supporting), give corrective feedback, follow-up of absenteeism.
• You will carry out an active role in problem solving on different levels: supporting in conflicts, referring to professional help, difficult conversations, following up internal/external complaints.
• You will support the onboarding and offboarding process.
• You will facilitate engagement in pilot meetings, TUIgether sessions and personal meetings with the pilots. You will also follow-up on all action points coming out of these meetings and feed the results back to the company and to the pilot community.
• You will assist in regular one-to-one meetings to improve the engagement and personal wellbeing of the individual pilot. You will support the Lead Pilot Manager coordinating the outcome of these meetings and ensure efficient follow-up. You will propose actions and make plans to address behaviour and situations that are not in line with the values of TUI.
• You will work closely together with other flight operations and training staff both inside the Dutch AOC and, if required, TUI Airline, providing open communications towards all stakeholders in line with our TUI values.
• You assist the Lead Pilot Manager in the social dialogue in the Dutch AOC. You will support in the preparation of workers council meetings to enable the Lead Pilot Manager to promote and foster positive employee relations in a way which enhances flexibility and affordability and which protects the company from adverse industrial relations.
• You are responsible for organizing the yearly bidding process, keep social matters on the appropriate portals updated, provide the required info for the establishment of the Promotion List and provide support in maintaining FCM files and the FCM career policy.
• You will provide support in ensuring the approval of the cost expenses of our pilot crew.
• You will liaise with the Fleet & Asset Management and Aviation Planning teams for all social matters related to leases with Flight Crew involved.
