Are you ready to take on a dynamic role where you can make a real impact on fleet reliability and operational efficiency? We’re looking for a proactive and skilled MOC Support Engineer to join our team and provide top-tier technical support to engineers and flight operations 24/7/365.

As MOC Support Engineer, you will be part of a shift based team delivering world class technical support to engineers and flight operations across the group on a 24/7/365 basis. You will be involved in all

aspects relating to the continued technical availability of the Group fleet. In this role, you’ll report to the MOC Duty Manager

ABOUT THE JOB

  • Monitoring and reviewing the Aviatar digital platform for failure trends and aircraft system performance, planning and implementing troubleshooting and rectification utilising in depth system knowledge to improve fleet reliability.
  • Repetitive and repeat defect monitoring and coordination of rectification work scopes in a timely manner to reduce schedule interruptions.
  • Liaising with Engineering support departments regarding all operational matters.
  • Participation in daily calls to key line stations & 3rd party bases to discuss current aircraft defects, aircraft operational status and planned night stop maintenance. To establish on the day capabilities and maximise available ground time opportunity and realise E&M productivity benefits including contracted partners.
  • Monitoring and communication to Ops team of fleet performance downgrades, liaising with Flight Ops and TUI Operations Control Centre as required to deliver the most up to date fleet operational status to TOCC, GOC and Flight Operations teams.
  • Monitoring and reacting to Aircraft Communication Addressing and Reporting System messages as required to provide timely response to flight crew technical requests and reduce potential for FDC and improved OTP.
  • Assisting the MOC Engineers with AOG recovery organisation, including spares requirement, technical documentation & travel and accommodation as required to reduce AOG recovery times.
  • Assisting the MOC team with structural repair coordination including OEM communications.
  • Production of Service Orders and associated maintenance data for non-contracted MRO’s as ad-hoc maintenance requirements occur.
  • Supporting the Operation in a ‘hands on’ role where the need arises in either base or line maintenance environments.


ABOUT YOU

  • Ability to hold CAA / EASA A or B License preferred but not essential.
  • Recognised Aircraft Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent industry experience.
  • Significant technical and trouble-shooting experience.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Boeing BCS system.
  • Significant experience of Aircraft on the Ground resolution, both hands on and detailed recovery planning
  • An excellent knowledge of AMOS, including maintenance planning functions and modification control
  • A logical thinker with the ability to generate ideas, alternatives, and solutions
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to discuss & explain complex situations to all areas of the business.
  • Make decisions based on operational risk with respect to Denied Boarding Compensation
  • Strong organisational skills and sound office IT skills
  • Willingness to support the operation at short notice, including overseas, when required
