As IT Portfolio and Product Manager for Hotels & Resorts IT you will be assigned to work on large scale international projects, both agile and traditional. This vital role will focus on harmonizing our IT project portfolio, developing robust KPI reporting, enhancing our IT portfolio management practices, and continuously elevating our toolset and maturity.

ABOUT THE JOB

As IT Portfolio and Product Manager you will bring together and guide teams, focusing on the business need to realize and report the project vision and collaboratively lead the project team to delivery.

  • You will monitor and manage progress against delivery plans, driving actions to completion as needed in order to deliver the business value of the project.
  • You will utilise your excellent communication and collaboration skills to build effective relationships, working closely with internal and external, business and Technology stakeholders at all levels of seniority. By providing transparency and managing dependencies, you will align expectations and ensure the delivery of committed business objectives and benefits.
  • You accompany projects through the entire project life cycle, from initialisation to completion and maintain close contact with the project manager and other key project participants and stakeholders.
  • You will help to continuously improve the organisation of intra-departmental running processes. Part of your role is the preparation of reports for the introduction of defined KPIs, papers on strategic topics for relevant senior management and board meetings.
  • You love to work in an international, multi-cultural team and play an active role in improving our working relationships, culture and practices. You challenge constructively and have high expectations of yourself and others.
  • You always drive for excellence, ownership and self-organisation at team and personal level.

ABOUT YOU

  • Degree in business informatics or comparable technical and hospitality background, psychological or social study (with relevant technical know-how).
  • Strong interest for hospitality business models, market dynamics, Hotel Tech and innovation in general.
  • Knowledge and initial experience in managing projects, in the project management office (PMO) or in supporting programme and portfolio. management; ideally in an information technology environment.
  • Good knowledge of common project/programme management methods (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, SCRUM).
  • Good analytical and conceptual skills as well as an independent and careful way of working.
  • Good user knowledge of modern IT workplace technologies esp. Aha / Jira, Tableau and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Completed studies in the field of business administration, business informatics or economics.
  • Several years of experience in operational IT project portfolio management or project controlling / agile management.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, frameworks and methodologies (common project management methods) in the area of IT governance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills combined with the ability to work with different groups consisting of business and IT stakeholders.
  • Expertise in both analytical/conceptual and practical areas.
  • Ability to reduce complexity, structured and proactive way of working and initiative.
  • Business fluent in English and German language.
