Job Description

Finance is a function within our airline organisation responsible for the key financial activities within the regions. The TUI Airline Finance function operates as a multi-disciplinary team of experts driving efficiency and innovation.
The objective of the Engineering and Maintenance (E&M) Finance team is to ensure financial transparency, reporting, decision support and governance on a functional or cross airline level, whilst delivering best value and cost savings across a €0.7bn Engineering & Maintenance cost base. The Engineering and Maintenance Finance team is responsible for the financial direction and driving financial delivery for key operational decisions across all markets in Europe.
As Finance Analyst you will be an integral part of the E&M Supply Chain Finance Team. You will provide Business Partnering support to multiple stakeholders within E&M Supply Chain – acting as a key support to the Finance Manager. You will be required to work functionally led as well as across multiple regions. Key tasks will include month end accounting, preparation of forecasts & budgets, analysis of data by Supplier to challenge and add real value.
In addition, you will be involved in several exciting upcoming projects where you will be heavily involved in as examples, the alignment of cost reporting across Europe working closer as one airline E&M team and scenario planning for contract renewals. This will involve working closely with the engineering team, the procurement team as well as accounting colleagues. You will have the opportunity to add value, drive forward change and setup new processes, as well as develop knowledge and experience in all regions.

ABOUT THE JOB
As Finance Analyst – Engineering & Maintenance Supply Chain you’ll be responsible for:
Assisting in the delivery of month end, forecasting, budgeting, cashflow, tracking risks and opportunities and cost savings.
Business partner the Supply chain operational teams to build, report and evaluate key P&L lines.
Support the alignment of activities, processes and reporting across the regions to ensure a consistent approach and efficient ways of working.
Provide financial support to business partners within Supply Chain. Providing detailed monthly reports and analysis to help track and understand the cost base against forecast. Evaluate key trends and KPIs to help ensure supply chain meet their long term strategic goals.
You will support the business with delivering the profit initiative targets by turning data into insight and support the business to make fact based decisions.
Support the culture of strong financial controls, compliance, and adherence to regulatory
frameworks. Promoting a culture of risk awareness, control focus, and ‘doing the right thing’.
Support specific adhoc project activities across all European airlines.
ABOUT YOU
Part qualified / Newly qualified Accountant or University degree in business administration or similar, preferably with a focus on finance or controlling, and a couple years of experience working in finance/controlling
Strong analytical mindset
A self-starter with strong problem solving skills
Ability to meet tight deadlines
Strong organizational skills
Good analysis and presentational skills
Ability to present confidently to senior stakeholders
Excellent analytical, communication and influencing skills (both written and oral)
Experience of working in a fast-paced, multi-channel consumer environment
Role requires strong business English, both spoken and written, and may involve some international travel
