We are looking for a talented and dedicated leader to join the Platform and Enterprise Architecture technology organisation.
The Enterprise Data Architect is responsible for both enabling and driving the execution of change towards the desired business vision through articulation and promotion of capabilities, data roadmaps, and depicting transition and future states. You collaborate closely with senior business and technology leaders across the Group ensuring our technology strategies reflect business goals and the current and desired future capabilities. You also ensure that domain roadmaps align to the strategic vision.
You are an advocate of state-of-the-art Enterprise architecture within TUI and are well-connected within the global data and technology communities.
ABOUT THE JOB
- As an Enterprise Data Architect, you lead the strategy of and are responsible for the maturity of data governance and data integration across the TUI enterprise, working with multiple domains and services to safeguard the future platforms.
- You will create and maintain enterprise data models and transformation roadmaps to facilitate discussion and decision-making with senior stakeholders, driving the group towards agreement regarding data direction and definition of data strategy.
- You will be collaborating with senior technology leaders, including Heads of Architecture and senior architects from their teams, you shape a vision and define data architectural strategies to translate business opportunities and customer expectations into innovative data solutions.
- You promote understanding of the data architecture at TUI and serve as the focal point for developing a global data architecture strategy and maintaining architectural integrity. In partnership with data-centric delivery teams and data science teams across technology and business.
- You will ensure that healthy data remains the core foundation of our AI strategy. By driving consolidation across TUI towards a coherent data platform strategy.
- You will define policies, standards, patterns, and practices that shape the data strategy while fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
- You will provide leadership to cross-functional initiatives and teams, you help secure new opportunities and address complex blockers.
- Your insights drive customer data into data strategy and data roadmaps, enabling new levels of agility, speed, and scale of data to exceed business outcome targets.
- You ensure the delivery of high-quality data design and engineering reviews.
- Playing a critical role as a force multiplier, you effectively deliver breakthrough results. As a trusted senior advisor at the CXO/Master Domain level or equivalent, in both IT and business domains.
- You influence the TUI data landscape and related ecosystems in broad one-to-many forums and direct engagements. Through coaching, governing, mentoring, and driving the use of tools, policies, patterns, and standards, you ensure the consistent and effective management of data.

ABOUT YOU
- An experienced architect and authentic servant leader with a passion for technology and Enterprise data architecture.
- Expertise in designing and implementing enterprise-wide data architecture frameworks and strategies.
- An experienced Enterprise Data Architect with a strong background in data modelling, data integration, and data governance.
- Broad experience and expertise across multiple technical areas in several IT domains. Proven track record in designing architecture blueprints and optimizing them to drive development and innovation.
- Proficiency in translating business vision into viable technical strategies and conveying such strategies back to business stakeholders.
- Proven track record in developing and maintaining comprehensive data models, ensuring data quality, and optimising data flows.
- Proficiency in defining and implementing data governance policies, standards and patterns, including data privacy and security measures.
- Experience with agile software development practices and the ability to integrate data architecture with agile methodologies, delivering business value and driving continuous improvement.
- Ability to collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to translate business requirements into data architecture solutions.
- Oversee the evolution of global data strategies and implementation of solutions for the whole group, identifying risks and providing necessary guidance.
- Skilled in developing and promoting data integration patterns, practices, and tools to ensure seamless data interoperability across TUI.
- Passionate about data-driven decision making and able to drive the adoption of data analytics and business intelligence solutions.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing large-scale data projects.
- Experienced with cloud technology, especially Amazon Web Services, with Associate or Professional level Architecture certification.
- Able to develop a helicopter view and a long-term vision.
- Systems thinker with a strong understanding of business needs and the ability to manage a range of priorities and delegate effectively.
- Problem solver with a pragmatic evangelist approach to drive the spirit required in a fast-paced digital space.
- Excellent communicator and facilitator, able to convey complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, and comfortable working across organisational and market boundaries and managing senior stakeholders. Able to disagree yet align.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive innovation through data solutions.
- Open-minded and inquisitive, with a commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest data technologies and trends.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and capable of working autonomously in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Enjoys and gets energised by complex problem-solving with an ability to push innovation through technical solutions.
