Job Description

Are you pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finland? Are you passionate about storytelling, public relations, and impactful communication? Are you looking to apply your academic knowledge in a real-world setting within a dynamic and global organization?

Join our Nordic Communications team as an intern and gain hands-on experience in crafting impactful messages, enhancing employee engagement, managing public relations, and supporting crisis communications. You’ll play a vital role in shaping how TUI communicates with its employees, customers, and stakeholders. We will ensure you feel supported and confident in your role, equipping you with the tools and knowledge you need to succeed. After a thorough onboarding and introduction to our department and TUI, you’ll follow a Learning & Development Plan tailored to your goals. Your tasks could include:

Internal Communications:

  • Writing and managing content for employee newsletters, intranet updates, and internal campaigns.

  • Supporting leadership communication and coordinating key messages across departments.

  • Organizing employee events, such as town halls and engagement initiatives.

External Communications & Public Relations:

  • Drafting press releases, briefing materials, and articles for external publications.

  • Building relationships with journalists and stakeholders to ensure positive media coverage.

  • Monitoring and analyzing media coverage to protect and enhance TUI’s reputation.

  • Supporting public-facing communication campaigns to strengthen our brand image.

Crisis Communications:

  • Assisting in the preparation and execution of crisis communication strategies.

  • Collaborating with teams to respond effectively to emerging issues.

  • Drafting clear, consistent messages for internal and external audiences during critical situations.

Strategic Communication Projects:

  • Conducting research on communication trends and strategies and providing actionable recommendations.

  • Evaluating the effectiveness of communication efforts and suggesting improvements.

  • We value your fresh perspective and encourage you to bring new ideas to the table. At the end of your internship, you’ll present your insights and recommendations to our team, ensuring we benefit from your unique contributions.

Qualifications:

  • You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Finland, ideally in PR, Communications, Journalism, Economics, or a related field.

  • Proficient in Finnish and English.

  • You are available to start your internship in the spring of 2025, in line with your university’s internship requirements.

  • You are enthusiastic, analytical, and interested in exploring various facets of corporate communication.
