Job Description

Within TUI Group, TUI Airline regroups all airline activities across UK, Nordics, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Morocco, France, and the Dutch Antilles. Airline Finance is a function within our airline organisation responsible for supporting the business to ensure accurate and timely reporting of actuals, forecast and budgets; and business partnering the Aviation Planning department and Tour Operator. The Finance function operates as a multi-disciplinary team of experts driving efficiency and innovation.

As Business Controller for the Western region Airlines you are responsible for the full scope of all FTE related costs for flight crew, groundstaff and technical personnel for Tui Airlines Belgium, Tui Airlines Netherlands and Tec4Jets. You will budget & forecast the FTE related costs and follow up and explain any variances on a monthly basis actual costs in relation to these forecasts & budget. Reporting to internal stakeholders and to the wider Tui Airline team is key to perform this role.

You will be in close contact with the manpower teams and HR.

ABOUT THE JOB

As Business Controller Manpower Western Region Airlines, you’ll be responsible for:

• The monthly and seasonal forecast of the P&L for Western Region airlines based on discussion you will have with internal stakeholders like manpower planning, HR and social legal department
• All monthly, quarterly and annual P&L reporting of Western Region Airlines and its affiliated companies in order to be able to report the main variances versus the budget and forecast
• The planning, coordination and reporting of the budget and 3YP process regarding manpower FTE and costs. You will assess whether the prepared budgets from the different stakeholders are logical and correct and finally process and report on the data.
• You will make sure the necessary FTE reporting is done to the group
• A closed follow up of all overhead and personnel related costs like hotel accommodation, expenses, transport, .. and take necessary actions if necessary
• You will strive to optimize and processes and avoid duplicating of work
• Support the delivery where and when required on Month End activities and requirements for the wider TUI Airline community.
• Build and develop robust internal and external stakeholder relationships and ways of working that allows for efficient delivery, high performance, and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to various ad-hoc projects, both initiated locally or in the Group.

ABOUT YOU

• Logical and analytical approach to working with large data sets and a good eye for detail.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint including creating meaningful and engaging presentations.
• Diligent worker with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Highly motivated person with the ability to use own initiative to problem-solve.
• Ability to shape and change processes with a can-do, positive attitude.
• Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders.
• At least 3 years of proven experience working in Business Controlling is a plus.
• Role requires strong business English, both spoken and written, and may involve some international travel.
