Job Description

The Assistant Content Editor specialises in building best-in-class content for our holidays, to improve customers’ buying decisions and online experience. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to advance their experience in visual and written content alongside having a passion for the outdoors.

As an Assistant Content Editor focussed on Ski, Lakes and Mountains content, you’ll play a key role in creating, editing and optimising content to ensure it is high-quality and engaging. This fast-paced role will involve sourcing and creating content, and regularly updating imagery and written content across our web platform. You'll work closely with photographers, writers and a range of teams and external partners to ensure the content is informative, inspiring, and consistent with the Crystal Ski Holidays tone of voice.

The way our customers buy and experience holidays is evolving, and Crystal Ski Holidays has been at the forefront of the ski industry in building innovative digital experiences for our customers. We work with colleagues and suppliers around the UK and in Ireland, France, Italy and beyond – so pack your bags, you may need to travel.

This role is being offered on a 12 month fixed term contract. The closing date for applications will be the 15th October.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • Sourcing and updating accommodation and resort photos and videos to ensure we have the best possible up-to-date commercial content.
  • Reviewing, selecting and updating visual content to deliver best-in-class imagery and video content for our product and destinations.
  • Loading imagery, including re-touching images to be web ready, coding and keyword tagging images and ensuring image specifications, licensing requirements, usage rights are adhered to.
  • Planning and logistics for accommodation and destination photo shoots, managing last-minute changes and moving agendas.
  • Delivering annual content projects - end-to-end - from taking the initial brief, planning the project and communicating with stakeholders through to actioning changes to web imagery and copy.
  • Editing and creating written content for destinations, accommodations, ancillaries, non-product pages and apps.
  • Using information from multiple sources including suppliers, colleagues, websites and customer reviews optimising content for SEO and in line with the brand guidelines and tone of voice.

ABOUT YOU

  • Experience in or a passion for working with content.
  • A proactive self-starter who likes variety and working at pace.
  • Confident managing a large number of briefs and content requirements at any given time.
  • Practical experience working with photography and video including photo editing, retouching etc.
  • Strong writing/editing experience.
  • Great communication and organisation skills.
  • Ability to manage a variety of internal and external suppliers at any given time, ensuring deadlines are always met.
  • Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Bridge and Lightroom.
  • Experience of working with content and digital asset management systems.
  • Experience in setting up photo and/or video shoots. To include permissions and creating schedules.
  • Interest in using Gen AI.
  • A passion for skiing / mountain / active holidays.
