Job Summary

We are looking for a
Studio Services Artist to join our London team. The Studio Services Artist is
part of HAVI's

Pre-Media Services Team, and is responsible for handling the day-to-day
activities needed to support our European Studio team, our European Graphics
team and any/all Creative execution requests. In addition to managing our
printing equipment and the tools needed to complete requests, this role is
responsible for running an efficient, closed-loop color-accurate system
internally and one that’s aligned with any of our supplier partners. Our
services include: Color Management & Printing of Contract Color Proofs,
Mocking Up High-End Packaging Prototypes, Large Format Printing, Digital
Photography Services, Print Sample Review and more. This role must be able to
handle multiple projects while staying on track, working to tight deadlines and
delivering outstanding service. This role will report to the Studio Regional
Lead, but will also be part of our global PQM team so that we can ensure that
all PQM work, standards are process are being done One Way Globally.

Responsibilities

·      
Create color-accurate Hero Mock-ups and
Prototypes; including operation of flatbed cutting table (PR)

·      
Prints and creating presentation decks
and boards for internal and external meetings (PR)

·      
Prints color-accurate large format
prints for any internal or external requests

·      
Handle all digital photography
requests; on-site or even event-based

·      
Evaluate color & print quality of
proofs and printer press samples (PR)

·      
Daily maintenance & operation of
in-house digital print devices

·      
Order, track, and evaluate drawdowns
samples

·      
Order, track, and process in-house
digital print consumables and supplies

·      
Layout and creation of graphics for
internal and external projects

·      
Monthly calibrations of X-Rite eXact
spectrophotometers

·      
Integrate production color standards,
tolerances, and visual reproductions into our technology platforms (Esko
ColorEngine, Esko Flexproof, CGS ORIS ColorTurner, and X-Rite's ColorCert)

·      
Assist & support Sr. Artworkers,
Artworkers, Retouchers, Creatives … when needed, and what's needed. Ensure
effective prioritisation of requirements, liaising with Regional Studio Manager
or direct requestor as necessary

·      
Provide timely communication on
activities; workload levels and projects

·      
In conjunction with counterparts on the
Graphics Team, establish and maintain appropriate processes to ensure the
effective management of graphics for all global programmes and European
projects

·      
Implement brand guidelines across any
outputs to include colour matching, look and feel and consistency of print
quality

·      
Track and enter all project time daily

Desired Skills & Experience

·      
2+ years Studio Services experience in
a graphics/repro/studio environment

·      
Understanding of Color Management
Basics & Principles

·      
Understanding of Lab, spectral data and
dE

·      
Understanding of Packaging Print
Methodologies: Flexo, Gravure, Offset and Digital

·      
Understanding of RIPs and proofing
systems (ORIS ColorTuner & Fiery preferred)

·      
Understanding and/or experience working
with Spectrophotometers

·      
Understanding and/or experience working
with Color Management Software, preferably X-Rite's ColorCert

·      
Understanding of G7 Methodology and
Creation of Printer/ICC profiles

·      
Knowledge and/or experience using
ESKO's WebCenter, Automation Engine and Studio Plugins for Illustrator

·      
Photography Fundamentals and Stage
lighting a plus

·      
Knowledge of 3D-Modeling Software a
plus

·      
Experience in artwork origination for
packaging, including origination from scratch, manipulation of existing
designs, basic colour retouching, through to checking and proofreading

·      
Solid experience of working with Adobe
Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat and Microsoft Office & Teams

·      
Fully Mac literate including good
working knowledge of OSX

·      
GMG, ESKO, X-Rite, ColorCert

·
