Transport Operations Clerk - Nights
Job Description
As a Transport Operations Clerk, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day administration of the Transport Department, while also assisting with warehouse administration activities when required. This is a varied and fast-paced role, where no two days are the same.
You'll be responsible for ensuring transport documentation is processed accurately, supporting operational activities, maintaining records, and liaising with drivers, colleagues, and management teams to help keep the operation running smoothly.
The duties and responsibilities of this role can change daily depending on operational requirements, so flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to support different areas of the business are essential.
Whether it's issuing drivers with their paperwork, supporting route departures, producing Tachograph reports, conducting driver debriefs, or assisting with operational challenges as they arise, you'll play a vital role in the success of the Transport function.
As an essential member of the Transport Operations Team, you'll provide administrative and operational support to help ensure deliveries run efficiently, compliance standards are maintained, and drivers have the information and resources they need to perform their roles effectively.
No two shifts are the same, so you'll need to be adaptable, organised, and ready to support the team wherever required.
Experience working with HGV drivers or within a transport, logistics, or fleet operations environment would be advantageous. However, we are equally interested in candidates who can demonstrate transferable skills gained in other fast-paced administrative or operational roles.
If you have strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, we'd love to hear from you. Full training will be provided to help you succeed in the role.
