The Role

At Tangle Teezer, we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Accounts Receivable specialist work specifically on the US subsidiary to join our team, reporting to the Finance Transaction Manager. This position will allow the right individual to contribute to the growth of one of the world’s most ingenious and loved brands!

In this role you’ll get to:

  • Taking a proactive role in managing and collecting cash for our US customers, escalating any potential financial risks where necessary.
  • Evaluating new credit requests, credit checking new accounts, and setting up new customer accounts in the ERP system (Navision).
  • Posting and allocating payments daily from the bank onto the customer accounts in Navision.
  • Assist the Finance Transaction Manager with month-end tasks, including the close of accounts receivable and preparing the detailed debtors report to be distributed to the wider business for visibility.
  • Distributing customer invoices and statements, including uploading invoices to customer portals and monitoring EDI.
  • Proactively disputing customer shortages from payments to reduce monthly chargebacks, requiring close working relationships with the Operations and Sales teams.
  • Supporting with the annual statutory audit preparation.
  • Assisting and monitoring the US/ Canada sales tax return submissions.
  • Has the desire to improve processes and is willing to put forward suggestions and implement them confidently.

What we are looking for in you:

  • A good level of MS Excel and Outlook skills
  • Microsoft Navision (desired but not essential)
  • Experience dealing with the biggest retail chains
  • Well organised and can meet strict deadlines
  • Works with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • A team player having the ability to also work unsupervised
  • A good communicator with interpersonal skills
