Job Description

Salary: £28,000-£33,000 basic per annum + uncapped commission

Responsibilities & Duties:

The core function of a Junior Account Manager is simple: grow, engage, and retain our existing customer base. You will play a key role in the Sales team and your efforts will contribute directly to the growth and retention of our corporate client portfolio.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a portfolio of corporate client accounts, focusing on retention and growth through strategic engagement
  • Conducting business reviews to understand client needs, showcase solutions, and identify upselling opportunities
  • Managing the sales cycle from inquiry to close, ensuring quarterly revenue targets are met
  • Navigating sales cycles with budget holders from L&D and HR departments
  • Driving outbound sales activities to book client meetings and follow up on opportunities
  • Taking full ownership of your account-based sales plan, producing enough outbound activity (phone, email, LinkedIn) to book a minimum of 20 client meetings per month
  • Collaborating with the Marketing team to execute campaigns that increase client engagement and account growth.

Skills & Attributes:

If you have a mix of the following skills and attributes, you might be just who we’re looking for:

  • 1+ year experience in a sales or a customer-facing role with a passion for sales, marketing, and community growth management
  • A degree in a relevant subject is preferable, but not essential
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Innovative mindset, with a love for testing new ideas and learning from experiments
  • Ability to manage projects, prioritise tasks, and execute with attention to detail
  • A team player that is ready to pitch in and help others: we’re a small but growing team –collaboration both within the sales team and with other departments is key to success
  • Someone who deals with their admin and takes ownership of it: however de-energising this may be – you understand how vital our CRM system is, and you take follow-up seriously
  • You have a growth mindset, and you are humble: you accept that things aren’t always perfect, and you look for solutions to help with continuous improvement across the business.

Benefits:

Here are some of the good things you’ll get when you join Strengthscope:

  • 30 days (+ bank holidays) of annual leave
  • Annual financial support budget of £500 to spend on what matters most to you
  • Enhanced pension plan where Strengthscope meets your contribution up to 10%
  • Flexible working with 1 day in the office a week (check out our company page on Flexa – https://flexa.careers/companies/strengthscope)
  • An extra day off for your birthday

  • Internal and external coaching and mentoring opportunities and monthly personal development time
  • StrengthscopeMASTER™ qualification
  • Strengths Heroes - where we celebrate the most awesome people every quarter!
  • Monthly team get-togethers and quarterly team days to reflect, plan, and celebrate
  • Pet-friendly offices in Kennington, with easy access to Vauxhall and Waterloo stations.
