JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a highly dynamic and analytical Senior Product Owner to spearhead our product research efforts in the content management space. This critical role focuses on keeping our product ahead in an ever-changing market by tracking industry trends, analyzing competitor offerings, and identifying differentiating features that give us a competitive edge. The ideal candidate thrives on stepping out of their comfort zone, diving deep into competitor solutions, and collaborating with Product Leadership to shape the future roadmap of Storyblok. You will play a key role in advancing our competitive intelligence initiatives, leveraging data analysis, and partnering with the Product Discovery and PLG teams to prioritize upcoming developments.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth competitor research to identify gaps in Storyblok’s offering compared to other headless CMS platforms, mapping opportunities for differentiation.
  • Monitor the latest trends in content management and ensure they are reflected in our strategic product roadmap.
  • Maintain and regularly update a product feature matrix to visualize how Storyblok’s features stack up against competitors.
  • Collaborate with Product Leadership to define a forward-looking roadmap, incorporating competitive insights and industry trends.
  • Review new feature specifications and use your knowledge of the competitive ecosystem to enhance proposed functionalities.
  • Work closely with the PLG team to prioritize new feature pipelines based on customer insights, market data, and competitive analysis.
  • Drive in-depth win-loss analysis for enterprise deals, producing reports to guide roadmap decisions at the leadership level.
  • Provide regular reports and actionable recommendations to Product Leadership, based on data-driven insights and market research.
  • Partner with Product Marketing and Sales Enablement teams to create competitor battle cards, empowering the sales team to effectively position Storyblok against competitors.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Support teams to ensure product strategies align with broader business objectives.
  • Proactively identify emerging trends and technologies in the content management space, championing new ideas to keep Storyblok at the forefront of innovation.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Product, Engineering or Design educational degree is an advantage
  • 6+ years of experience in product management, product engineering, or product design roles, with a strong emphasis on competitor analysis initiatives and innovation
  • Track record of working in the B2B SaaS startup ecosystem focusing on Enterprise and Self-service products

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Deep understanding of the B2B SaaS business, customers, partners, and the broader B2B ecosystem
  • Design-driven mindset and hands-on mentality
  • Ability to combine analytical thinking with thinking out of the box
  • Passionate about analyzing data in highly competitive markets
