JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Team Manager to lead our dynamic team of Business Development Representatives (BDR) for the US territory. The candidate will manage and oversee inbound and outbound sales activities, as well as improve inbound and outbound sales campaigns and processes. The candidate will be responsible for a BDR team that generates new qualified opportunities, helping Storyblok drive revenue growth and expand its customer base. Finally, the candidate will mentor and coach a team of BDRs on inbound and outbound sales tactics while collaborating with cross functional departments, such as Marketing, to achieve company objectives.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Oversight of inbound and outbound sales activities and processes; identify and implement improvements
- Support BDRs execute outbound sales plays and ensure activities are sufficient to meet sales targets
- Ensure that inbound leads are being contacted in a timely manner
- Review and optimize sequences and messaging, increasing conversions
- Weekly 1:1 coaching with BDRs to improve outreach efficacy in an inbound and outbound context
- Prepare reports (Salesforce) to analyze conversion metrics, performance of campaigns, and forecast pipeline generation
- Weekly reviews with Head of Business Development on sales metrics and pipeline
- Support expansion into existing customer base
- Close collaboration with Sales Leaders, Marketing and other departments to generate new business
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Proven track record of leading sales teams (4-6 years)
- Experience in executing outbound sales plays, managing inbound leads, and analyzing performance
- Coaching sales representatives, improve competencies and performance
- Good understanding of SaaS (Software as a Service)
- Experience with tech stack and tools for inbound and outbound sales
- Knowledgeable with US software market
- Experience in software development is a plus
