Job Description

The opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Product Manager to join our dynamic team at a scale-up Fintech company. As the Senior Product Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing, configuring, and overseeing our AML compliance technology solutions, ensuring the highest standards of regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.

What you’ll be doing

  • Develop a comprehensive product strategy and vision for our AML technology solutions, aligned with business goals and industry best practices.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of AML regulations and requirements in relation to onboarding/ongoing monitoring technology, staying up-to-date with evolving regulatory frameworks, guidelines, and industry trends.
  • Lead end-to-end product development lifecycle, including ideation, requirement gathering, prioritisation, design, development, and launch of AML technology products and features.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, design, legal, operations, and other relevant teams to define product requirements, drive product development, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Engage and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, to understand their needs, gather feedback, and address compliance-related concerns.
  • Develop and maintain a strategic product roadmap, balancing customer needs, regulatory requirements, and business objectives, and effectively communicate the roadmap to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Establish clear guidelines for the configuration and parameter settings of the sanctions screening platform. This includes defining the specific criteria for screening, such as sanction lists, watchlists, politically exposed persons (PEPs), and other relevant risk factors.
  • Specify the configuration requirements for matching algorithms, thresholds, and risk scoring mechanisms used by the screening platform. Define the frequency and scope of data updates to ensure the sanctions lists and watchlists are up to date
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with AML compliance technology solutions, identify potential vulnerabilities, and implement proactive measures to safeguard against money laundering and fraud.
  • Champion user-centric design principles and ensure a seamless and intuitive user experience for both internal teams and customers, enhancing usability and efficiency in AML compliance processes.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate the success of AML compliance products, conduct regular analysis, and use data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and optimise product performance.

What we're looking for in you

  • Strong product management experience, preferably in the financial services industry, with a focus on AML compliance technology solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of AML regulations, guidelines, and best practices, with a proven track record of developing and implementing effective AML compliance technology solutions.
  • Proficiency in understanding complex technical concepts, ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams, and translate business requirements into scalable and innovative product solutions.
  • Ability to think strategically, develop long-term product vision, and align product strategy with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams, driving product development initiatives, and effectively managing stakeholders at various levels of the organisation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data and metrics to make informed product decisions and optimise product performance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Stay updated with AML regulations, industry trends, and emerging technologies, and their potential impact on AML compliance solutions.
