The Role
We are looking for an experienced Mobile Developer with a strong background in Android development and C++ programming to join our growing Player team. In this role, you’ll work on the core Android system to optimize performance and ensure stability, delivering the best possible experience for users displaying content on screens with the latest hardware and software technologies.
You’ll collaborate closely with the latest Chromium library, ensuring our technology is always up to date. The ideal candidate is passionate about mobile technologies and has a deep understanding of the Android platform. While Objective-C and Swift knowledge is a plus, it’s not mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Android applications using Java, Kotlin, and C/C++
- Lead the technical design and implementation of new features, ensuring alignment with product goals and user needs
- Maintain and implement tests using the Android test suite and create unit, integration, and UI tests for robust coverage
- Build, customize, and optimize Chromium for mobile platforms, staying up to date with the latest releases
- Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Nexus Repository, SonarQube, and Android Emulator
- Lead code reviews, mentor developers, and take ownership of troubleshooting and investigating reported issues
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and resource efficiency across different devices and OS versions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Manager, QA) to ensure timely delivery of product requirements
- Stay updated with Android development trends and advocate for best practices and new technologies within the team
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience of Android development experience with Java and Kotlin
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming and JNI implementation
- Strong proficiency in web application technology
- Experience working with Webview , HTML & Javascript
- Experience working with Chromium for any platforms
- Expertise in Android SDK, Android Studio, and Gradle build systems
- Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, including Material Design guidelines
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Docker, and Nexus Repository
- Proficient in version control (Git) and debugging tools like ADB
- Proven leadership experience in managing and delivering technical projects
- Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills for collaborating in a cross-functional team environment
Bonus Skills
- Experience with Chromium build processes specifically for Android
- Familiarity with Ubuntu/Linux environments for development and automation
- In-depth knowledge of the Chromium build system for Android, including compiling and optimizing for performance
- Cross-platform development experience (Android, iOS, or other mobile platforms)
- Knowledge of graphics programming using OpenGL or similar frameworks
- Experience with iOS development (Objective-C, Swift)
- Expertise in performance profiling and optimization for mobile applications
