Job Description

Hello, we’re ScreenCloud!
Founded in 2015 and with 10,000+ customers around the globe, ScreenCloud is a cloud-based SaaS company, employing over 100 people in our Bangkok, Belfast, LA, Charlotte and London hubs.
At ScreenCloud, we’re hard at work helping businesses to make stronger connections at scale, and with those who are most important to them; their employees & their customers. By using the screens on their walls & the content in their systems, we enable the sales, productivity & engagement that keep our customers’ businesses thriving.
We’re very proud of our product and we’re also incredibly proud of our people. It’s our ‘ScreenClouders’ and the culture they nurture that will take us where other companies just can’t go. So if you’re someone looking to join a team of talented individuals, apply below!
The Role
We are looking for a Junior Commercial Counsel to be the primary point of contact for all legal and contractual matters, playing a key role in shaping and improving our legal and operational processes. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of legal, operations, and commercial decision-making, with a strong focus on process optimisation and stakeholder collaboration.
In this position, you will manage all incoming legal queries and be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a range of customer and vendor contracts. Reporting directly into the C-Suite, you will work closely with multiple teams across the business to streamline legal workflows, enhance contract lifecycle management, and drive operational improvements.
If you have demonstrable experience as a trainee or junior lawyer, ideally in-house at a SaaS, startup, or scale-up, and enjoy using your legal skills in a commercial setting, we're keen to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Lead legal contact: Act as the primary point of contact for all legal matters within the company.
  • Customer contracts: Draft, review, negotiate, and execute various customer agreements (including Terms of Service, RFPs, NDAs, MSAs, and Reseller Agreements), balancing risk management with commercial objectives.
  • Vendor contracts: Review, negotiate, and execute vendor contracts in line with pre-approved internal policies, collaborating with Finance and Security on vendor onboarding
  • Legal queries & templates: Manage incoming legal requests, escalating to external counsel when necessary. Work with Product to ensure our terms and policies remain aligned with product development and compliance requirements
  • Contract management: Maintain clear tracking, storage, and reporting of contract status, ensuring visibility of key contractual risks (e.g. non-standard terms)
  • Process improvement: Identify inefficiencies in the contract lifecycle and implement enhancements using document generation, signature software, and contractual data analysis
  • Enablement: Build and maintain contract playbooks, training sessions, legal templates, and processes to empower cross-functional teams
  • Security incidents: Provide guidance on managing security incidents from a legal and compliance perspective
  • Dispute resolution: Manage contractual disputes and legal issues, collaborating with external counsel when necessary
  • Data privacy and protection: Support the business with data privacy and protection matters, including compliance with relevant regulations, drafting policies, and providing guidance on data-related issues, with prior experience or a demonstrable interest in this area
  • External counsel management: Oversee the company’s use of external legal counsel, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements
  • Equity management: Work alongside Finance to manage our manage equity management software (e.g. Carta) for future option grants and funding rounds
  • KPI development: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure legal and operational initiatives align with company objectives
  • Collaboration: Partner with Finance, Sales, Product, and Security teams to support legal and operational needs

Requirements

  • Desire to play a strategic role with leadership exposure – this position reports directly to the C-Suite, providing a unique opportunity to work closely with company leadership.
  • Proven in-house legal experience (preferably in a SaaS, startup, or scale-up environment).
  • Process-driven mindset with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills – ability to influence at all levels, including executive and C-level.
  • Tech-savvy, comfortable using CRM, contract lifecycle management software, generative AI, and document automation tools (bonus if experienced with PandaDoc, DocuSign or similar platforms).
  • A commercial mindset – understanding how legal and contractual processes impact business success.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, with a focus on continuous improvement.
