Job Description

About the Role

  • Maintain Financial Records: Oversee the day-to-day management of financial transactions, ensuring accurate and timely posting in the general ledger.
  • Account Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile bank accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other balance sheet accounts.
  • Financial Statements: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with internal and statutory requirements.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local tax laws, including preparing and filing VAT, corporate tax, and other necessary filings.
  • Audit Support: Assist in preparing for annual audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure smooth audit processes.
  • Financial Reporting: Produce accurate financial reports to monitor business performance and support decision-making.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously improve accounting processes and systems to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional Certification (good to have): ACA / CMA / ACCA / VACPA
  • Experience: Mid to senior-level experience in managing financial operations, preferably in fintech or a related industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel and Xero is a must.
