What you'll do

  • You will be developing components related to a Java based machine translation system
  • You’ll be working on tasks with Docker and Kubernetes
  • You’ll be working with CI/CD tools and create automated tests
  • You’ll be working as part of the development team and work on well-defined sub projects

What you bring


You are a currently enrolled student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences:

  • Studying preferably in the fields: Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, Natural Language Processing
  • Having the following computer skills: Java, Java libraries and frameworks (Spring), experience with Linux environment and shell scripting is a plus
  • Experience in Python is beneficial
  • Previous work experience that included software development tasks is highly beneficial
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, German as a plus
  • You will be available as working student for at least 6, preferably 12 months (please include when you expect to complete your studies)


Meet your team

The Machine Translation (MT) team at SAP’s Language Experience Lab develops and operates various components related to machine translation and evaluation of machine translation quality.
We are looking for a highly motivated working student for implementation tasks related to Java development and operations related tasks with Docker and Kubernetes.
You’ll be working as part of the MT team and working on well-defined projects and tasks.

Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please also describe your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.
