We focus every day on building the foundation for tomorrow and creating a workplace that embraces differences, values flexibility, and is aligned to our purpose-driven and future-focused work. We offer a highly collaborative, caring team environment with a strong focus on learning and development, recognition for your individual contributions, and a variety of benefit options for you to choose from.

What you'll do:

Summary:

Located at the SAP Labs Munich headquarter in Garching, CTO Research & Innovation is embedded into the Munich ecosystem to partner with the local academic community, customers, and the entrepreneurial ecosystem. As a UX Developer (f/m/d) for AI Solutions at CTO Research & Innovation Team Munich you will become part of a young and agile team that is responsible for exploring the future of AI-powered analytics and decision support for SAP by prototyping innovative solutions. You will help to create visually compelling and intuitive prototypes with a focus on human-AI collaboration, user comprehension, and trust. Your strong user-centric design attitude and desire to solve real customer needs contributes to our team’s success in delivering relevant directions and user experiences that have validated business value for the company and our customers.

The Role:

  • Design, implement, and evaluate visually compelling UI/UX concepts to support the creation of innovative prototypes and their transition to product readiness
  • Develop creative concepts, digital assets and experiences from ideation to execution, demonstrating our team’s explorative work and thought leadership.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into visually engaging solutions, ensuring seamless user experience.
  • Support ideation processes in the team to identify new business opportunities and innovation potentials aligned with our strategic ambition and goals
  • Stay current with visual design trends, tools, and technologies to deliver innovative and high-quality designs.

What you bring:

  • University diploma, Master’s degree, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related fields, preferably with a focus on data visualization
  • Proven track record of applying research and innovative concepts to real-world use cases
  • Strong programming skills in at least one programming language and relevant work experiences in UI & UX development, e.g., with Figma, AngularJS, React, UI5.
  • Goal-oriented, hands-on, and ready to work in an agile environment and short-cycled projects with academic partners and internal project stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills in English (German is a plus)

We are looking for graduates or professionals with up to 3 years of work experience, preferably with a background in one of the beforementioned fields.

Meet the team:

Formed beginning of 2025, CTO Research & Innovation is responsible for pioneering emerging technologies that will be foundational for the future success of SAP. We are a diverse, global team and collaborate across roles, functions, and locations, enabling every colleague to contribute and investigate new ideas. We identify and explore transformative technologies to define their value for our business and customers. As part of the CTO organization, we are geared up to make an impact. As innovation requires courage, curiosity, and patience, we live up to a culture of trial and continuous learning. This paves our way to success: We create tangible business value for our lines of business and for our customers through large-scale adoption of cutting-edge technology at SAP.
