Overview:

The Chief Architect of Business Transformation Services plays a pivotal role in driving strategic change and innovation within an organization. This role involves leading the design and implementation of transformational initiatives that align with business objectives, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer experiences. The Chief Architect works closely with various stakeholders, including executive leadership, technical teams, and external partners, to ensure successful transformation projects.

Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning and Visioning:

- Develop, lead, and articulate the vision and strategy for business transformation.

- Align transformation initiatives with the organization's overall business strategy and goals.

- Collaborate with the leadership team to define the roadmap for digital and business transformation.

2. Architecture and Design:

- Lead Design and implement architectural frameworks, methodologies, and standards.

- Ensure the alignment of business processes, technology, and data architecture.

- Oversee the creation and maintenance of enterprise-wide architectural blueprints.

3. Project Leadership:

- Lead cross-functional teams to execute transformation projects.

- Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery.

- Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and gain stakeholder consensus.

4. Stakeholder Management:

- Act as a key liaison between business units, IT, and other stakeholders.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners and vendors.

- Communicate project status, progress, and outcomes to various stakeholders.

5. Process Improvement:

- Identify areas for process improvement and optimization.

- Implement best practices and industry standards to enhance operational efficiency.

- Drive continuous improvement efforts to ensure ongoing transformation success.

6. Technology and Innovation:

- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in business transformation.

- Evaluate and recommend the adoption of new technologies and methodologies.

- Lead the integration of new technologies into existing systems and processes.

7. Change Management:

- Develop and implement change management strategies to support transformation initiatives.

- Address resistance to change and ensure smooth transitions.

- Provide training and support to team members to adopt new processes and technologies.

8. Risk Management:

- Identify and mitigate risks associated with transformation projects.

- Develop contingency plans to handle unexpected challenges.

- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

9. Performance Metrics and Analysis:

- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for transformation initiatives.

- Analyze project performance and make data-driven decisions.

- Report on the impact of transformation projects on business outcomes.

Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology, or a related field. A master's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.

- Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, with a track record of successful business transformation projects.

- Certifications: Industry certifications such as PMP, TOGAF, or ITIL are beneficial.

- Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in project management methodologies.

- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of business processes, technology trends, and change management principles.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 1 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
