Join our Corporate Sustainability team as a Sustainability Communication Specialist, where you'll actively contribute to the success of SAP’s environmental and social initiatives. This role is focused on driving the execution of communication activities.

What you'll do:

  • Internal Communication Strategies and Campaigns: Designing and implementing communication strategies and campaigns that support the targeted rollout of key sustainability programs and deliverables and/or elevate awareness and engagement around sustainability, fostering a strong sustainability culture within SAP.
  • Content Creation: Craft engaging content for various communication channels, such as intranet, webpage, newsletters, presentations and social media to highlight sustainability projects and achievements. Develop tailored narratives and key messages that resonate with different departments, ensuring sustainability becomes a relevant aspect of each employee's role.
  • Global Network Coordination: Orchestrate the global network of SAP’s Sustainability Champions, who lead local initiatives and play active roles in Environmental Management Systems. Facilitate regular communication and collaboration among these champions to share best practices and drive global impact.
  • Cross-functional Alignment: Collaborate closely across own team and with other teams, like Global Communication to keep key audiences informed of SAP’s sustainability journey.
  • Email Inbox Management: Co-Manage the "SAP Sustainability" anonymous email inbox, responding to inquiries from customers, employees, suppliers, and external invitations. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent and timely communication.

What you bring:

  • Educational Background: Degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, Sustainability, or a related field, fostering strategic communication insights.
  • Communicative Excellence: Exceptional skills in crafting clear, engaging, and persuasive messages in English for diverse audiences.
  • Solid organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple communication initiatives simultaneously, ensuring timely and effective execution.
  • Collaborative and Influential: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, possessing intercultural sensitivity and the skills to influence without direct authority.
  • Creative and Innovative thinker, curious and eager to learn
  • Genuine interest and curiosity in sustainability and its business impact.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and skills in leveraging digital platforms effectively.

Supporting SAP’s purpose to help the world run better and improving people’s lives, the global Sustainability Team is on a mission to transform SAP to a role model of a sustainable company and create positive economic, environmental, and social impact within planetary boundaries. The team collaborates with all internal lines of business and works on embedding sustainability further into SAP’s corporate strategy, product and service portfolio, policies, processes, practices, and everything we do. This means improving the sustainability performance of our own operations, driving customer impact creation, and stimulating new sustainability initiatives across the organization.
