Within Corporate Sustainability’s Environmental Management team, the Net Zero Senior Consultant actively contributes to the success of SAP’s environmental sustainability strategy and the Net Zero 2030 program. In this role, you mainly investigate the optimization of SAP’s product footprint, and potentials for reducing it. This requires a strong focus on the goal-oriented execution of project activities and relationship building with key stakeholders to facilitate the improvement of SAP’s sustainability performance and active reduction of emissions.
What you'll do:
- Contribute to SAP’s environmental sustainability programs and initiatives to ensure SAP meets its commitments outlined in the SAP Global Environmental Policy such as achieving Net-Zero by 2030.
- Bring in expert knowledge on environmental sustainability, efficient software development and architecture, provide thought leadership and act as a trusted advisor for our community.
- Support SAP’s sustainability business, compose and manage requirements, and track KPIs to ensure business value creation as well as quality of implementation.
- Collaborate with colleagues from the Corporate Sustainability Team, and other relevant lines of business within SAP such as (Product Development, Cloud Infrastructure and Controlling).
- Manage projects to identify areas for optimization of SAP’s core products and create tangible environmental impact.
What you bring:
- University degree in business informatics, natural sciences, sustainability management or comparable.
- 4-5+ years of working experience with proven track record in software development, or consulting focusing on software optimization and reduction energy footprints.
- Project management skills and experiences in complex stakeholder environments.
- Structured, proactive, flexible, and collaborative working style and eager to learn.
- Ability to deliver high quality under deadline pressure, while leading multiple tasks in complex environments.
- Strong leadership skills, intercultural sensitivity, and strength to influence without authority.
- Excellent and fluent English skills.
