Job Description

We help the world run better

At SAP, we enable you to bring out your best. Our company culture is focused on collaboration and a shared passion to help the world run better. How? We focus every day on building the foundation for tomorrow and creating a workplace that embraces differences, values flexibility, and is aligned to our purpose-driven and future-focused work. We offer a highly collaborative, caring team environment with a strong focus on learning and development, recognition for your individual contributions, and a variety of benefit options for you to choose from.

Summary

Within SAP Signavio, user assistance developers (UAD) work to ensure that users get the right help when and where they need it—either directly within the product or on our help portal. We’re looking for UADs to strengthen our growing team. This role is often referred to as “Technical Writing” in other companies.

You’ll be working closely with product owners, developers, user experience designers, and other UADs to create and enhance user assistance content. And you’ll also work on content initiatives to ensure the highest possible quality of our user assistance offerings.

On a day-to-day basis, you’ll translate complex technical features into easy-to-understand help content, follow guidelines and best practices, collaborate with your peers to support and contribute to the user assistance goals, share and receive constructive feedback with/from peers. And you’ll have a great time with people who love to collaborate and support each other and promote a growth mindset!

What you'll do

  • Create new user assistance (UA) content for the SAP Signavio products using DITA-based authoring tools and the SAP Help Portal infrastructure
  • Work with stakeholders and UX designers to define terminology and draft and fine-tune UI texts based on guidelines and to achieve the best possible user experience
  • Create in-app help as primary contextual help
  • Create help content for user guides, administration guides, APIs, and more
  • Act as a reviewer for other UADs in the team

What you bring

  • 1+ years of experience in producing documentation and user assistance for software products and services
  • Excellent communication skills in English, written and spoken (all UA content is created in English)
  • A clear, concise writing style and a passion for breaking down complicated things into simple words
  • An eye for detail and a passion for delivering quality
  • Familiarity with DITA-based content management system would be advantageous
  • Experience with GitHub is a plus
  • Ability to prioritize competing tasks in a fast-changing environment
  • Experience with development teams working in an agile/Scrum mode or in feature-driven, cloud-native development is a plus
  • A positive, open-minded, and collaborative personality with strong self-management skills, a proactive approach, and willingness to be a team player

About the team

Building on the intelligent enterprise strategy, the SAP Signavio organization sets out to support and accompany SAP customers in navigating through their digital transformation by helping them understand and improve their business processes in a data-driven way.

We’re proud of being a warm and inclusive group of people. Our respectful and supportive environment is one of our strongest assets. We’re looking forward to welcoming new colleagues that share our values and also help us grow and excel!
