Job Description

We help the world run better

At SAP, we enable you to bring out your best. Our company culture is focused on collaboration and a shared passion to help the world run better. How? We offer a highly collaborative, caring team environment with a strong focus on learning and development, recognition for your individual contributions, and a variety of benefit options for you to choose from.

What you'll do:
This internship aims to evaluate the feasibility of using Generative AI for security-relevant code refactoring, such as fixing existing vulnerabilities and removing the code patterns that are difficult to analyze by the
Static Application Security Testing (SAST) tools.

For the first part, the intern will use the existing SAST tools to detect vulnerabilities, develop techniques to mitigate the findings with GenAI, and re-use the SAST tools to measure whether the vulnerability was fixed.
For the second part, the intern will work on an existing dataset of code patterns that are difficult to be analyzed by the SAST tools, and investigate methods to automatically refactor these patterns, to make them easier to analyze.

The intern should be well-versed in static code analysis, handling of real-world data, and web security research.
