What you’ll do

We’re looking for a motivated and talented full-stack developer who wants to join our team working on two SaaS applications within SAP Integrated Product Development, which is a cloud native PLM product. You will work on Specification Collaboration, which is a hybrid scenario integrated with S/4HANA, and also Specification Management, which is a cloud native BTP solution very much expected by customers.

As Full-stack Developer (f/m/d) you will contribute to our capability by writing clean, high quality code and automated tests ensuring security, performance and other product standards. You contribute on the full stack of our solution including UI5 frontend, CAP Java backend and the tools around it.

While coding will be your core task, developing software at SAP is much more than just that. It’s a team effort, including designing our products for the end user/customers, delivering our services efficiently and fast, in time and in quality. Your tasks will be:

• Work in a scrum team and apply agile software engineering methods during daily work
• Understand the business requirements and implement according to the guidance
• Focus on design, coding, testing, quality assurance of product features in a development team, including test automation and maintenance
• Continuously enhance your skills
  • Coding skills
  • Skills around coding: code readability, testability, error handling, performance, code structure
• Dynamically change your environment while working on one topic or the other

What you bring

• BSc or MSc degree in IT, mathematics or engineering
• 3+ years of experience in professional software development, preferably within a scrum team
• Enthusiastic, results-driven team player with the ability to work in dynamic environment
• Good English language skills written and oral
• Open minded person, ready to improve day by day
• Ability to keep multiple projects in your head and easily change context
• Proficient in Java and JavaScript, experienced with Git/GitHub, Jenkins/Piper and OData
• Competencies in the following is an advantage: CAP, UI5, Fiori Elements, SAP BTP, SAP HANA

Meet your team

Our team is developing software for manufacturing companies (primarily but not exclusively for process industries, eg. food, healthcare, chemical, etc.). These companies, besides manufacturing the goods, must design and manage the whole lifecycle of their products. Product development processes are highly complex by nature where multiple requirements need to be considered, such as customer and legal requirements or cost targets. Tools that support and accelerate product development are required in this fast-changing, innovative environment. End-to-end digitalization in product development helps to achieve this goal.

The Specification Management capability lets you manage the diverse range of data that represents your product and collect all the parameters that define it. With its central specification object, you can fulfill the needs of internal and external communications, and follow-up processes. In the recent years, we have successfully delivered the first parts of our native cloud solution. We still have a lot to do, you can be part of this journey with a youthful and supportive team.

The Specification Collaboration enables customers to exchange specifications with external suppliers, already entering data in the database instead of using external tools for it.
