APM Terminals is seeking a Global Reliability Engineer to lead and deploy regional reliability initiatives while supporting terminals across the region in achieving optimum equipment reliability and availability. This role plays a critical part in integrating regional activities with the global Reliability & Planning Strategy and driving operational excellence across asset maintenance functions.

Key responsibilities
Lead the implementation of regional reliability strategies aligned with global standards.
Drive defect elimination, root cause analysis, and reliability improvement initiatives.
Monitor and improve equipment reliability KPIs, including asset availability and MTBF performance.
Conduct or commission FMECA studies and support optimal maintenance strategy development.
Identify equipment performance gaps, lead Kaizen events, and implement corrective action plans.
Ensure maintenance and reliability KPIs are accurately reported across terminals.
Collaborate closely with regional and global asset maintenance teams, OEMs, and operational stakeholders.
Support maintenance cost optimization through improved reliability practices and performance improvements.
What we're looking for
University degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Background in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Communications, or Mechatronics Engineering.
Experience in reliability management, asset maintenance, and condition-based maintenance (CBM) programs.
Knowledge of ultrasound, thermography, vibration analysis, oil analysis, and non-destructive testing techniques.
Demonstrated experience leading Root Cause Analysis (RCA), FMECA studies, and defect elimination initiatives.
Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
Ability to work effectively in multicultural environments and collaborate across regions.
Fluent English and Spanish communication skills.
Ability to lead without direct authority and drive results through collaboration.
