Job Description
As a Cloud Security Engineer you will be a trusted advisor to our Customers in the domain of Enterprise Security best practices and their application to deployments in Google Cloud. You will leverage excellent communication skills to articulate how our Customers can adopt Cloud in the most secure and effective manner possible, applying Security best practices and Secure by Design principles.
This is a Security Engineering role and as such you will be expected to play an active part in the deployment of Cloud solutions, both as code or with the appropriate tooling. You will be an ambassador of DevSecOps, specialising in the integration of Security guardrails into CICD pipelines and leveraging automation to provide Security at scale.
When deployed on a project in a cross-functional Agile squad you will be the Security SME and the advisor on Security best practices, collaborating with Engineers from all Cloud disciplines.

Responsibilities
You will conduct yourself as a Security SME providing advisory services to our customers, facilitating the right solution for their particular requirements and Risk profile.
- Be fluent in Google Security technologies and demonstrate a keen interest in continuous learning and mastery.
- Provide a Domain SME interface to the pre-sales function, facilitating where deep security assistance is required and translating security requirements into actionable insights.
- Lead discussions with customer technologists, fostering long-term relationships with senior stakeholders and cementing your position as a trusted advisor.

Requirements
- Expert knowledge of the Google Cloud security stack and its related tooling.
- Experience of implementing secure designs across multiple Cloud services and Architecting Cloud Security solutions.
- Hands-on experience of deploying security guardrails in the Cloud, preferably Google.
- Deploying security controls compliant with PCI-DSS, NIST, CIS and CSA frameworks.
- A good understanding of AppSec principles and the OWASP best practices and how these may apply to Cloud deployments and CICD pipelines.
- Awareness of Governance, Risk & Compliance, Security methodologies and frameworks.
- Mapping on-prem controls to Cloud native alternatives, with the ability to explain these to stakeholders with varying degrees of understanding.
- In depth knowledge of Cloud IAM solutions and their application for securing the Cloud.
- In depth knowledge of Logging & Monitoring, SIEM integration for Cloud deployments.
- Strong knowledge of automation and IaC (Terraform).
- Significant experience of stakeholder management across multiple verticals preferably for both private and public sector organisations.
Desirable Skills
- Security certification to a Professional level for a Cloud provider, preferably Google Cloud.
- At least one vendor agnostic security certification eg. CISSP, CISA, CISM
- Post Graduate certification in a technical domain.
