We deliver cutting edge solutions across data & analytics, AI, cloud infrastructure or security that drive digital transformation and enable our customers to scale, modernise and thrive.

In joining Qodea, you’ll work alongside specialists in their field and would have access to mentoring, industry-recognised training and certifications, and personalised development plans to support your career growth.

We’re always looking for motivated and energetic people who are eager to learn and grow, so if you want to supercharge your career, join Qodea!

Role Overview

Join Qodea as a paralegal and become an integral part of a highly capable and dynamic Legal Team. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced legal professionals, including the Head of Legal and Senior Legal Counsel, which will give you the opportunity to learn and grow.

You’ll be involved in a variety of crucial tasks, from contract negotiations and managing legal documents to supporting data room management and the central bid library.

Qodea is a fast-paced environment which values exceptional organizational skills and a proactive mindset, making it ideal for someone eager to develop their career within a business with ambitious growth plans.

What you’ll do:

  • Work alongside our existing legal team to deliver services to internal stakeholders, customers and suppliers.
  • Contract negotiations, including novation, change orders and customer orders
  • Manage signature processes and deal closing activities
  • Manage customer bespoke terms & conditions and partner agreements
  • Manage and maintain the centralised repository for all legal document templates
  • Negotiate NDAs and data processing agreements with customer and suppliers
  • Data room management, including supplier’s onboarding / due diligence
  • Support in maintaining the central Bid Library

Requirements

What you’ll bring:

  • This can be a fast paced environment where an ability to be flexible and to “think on your feet” is essential.
  • A grounding in contract law would be useful.
  • Success in this role requires strong organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, a willingness to embrace new concepts and a proactive approach to learning.
  • We value individuals who are eager to learn, have good commercial awareness and demonstrate initiative in their work.

Please note: We are open to considering candidates that have completed a law degree and/or are engaging in the process of training to become a qualified solicitor, but we are also open to those who have experience working as a paralegal and would like to continue to do so.

How you’ll grow:

  • You’ll be working alongside our Head of Legal and Senior Legal Counsel - there is a significant opportunity - and expectation - that you will learn quickly and take on additional responsibilities.
  • Qodea is a rapidly growing business based in the UK with additional businesses in the Netherlands, Germany and Romania. We anticipate significant growth in the next 12-24 months, and there will be opportunity to become involved in this process.
  • You are expected to undertake regular training, in addition to any professional qualifications you may be working to.
  • For those in the process of training to become a qualified solicitor through the SRA, it is likely your work will amount to ‘Qualifying Work Experience’ under the SRA rules. We are happy to work with a successful candidate to assess their individual situation and arrange appropriate supervision.

Location:

This role will be on a hybrid basis. Our Legal Team is based in Manchester and works from the Manchester office on a fairly regular basis. Though there is no mandatory expectation for the role-holder to work in the office every week, it would be preferable for 1-2 days per week in the office to aid in collaborating with wider team members. We will therefore be prioritising applications from candidates that leave a reasonable commuting distance from Manchester.

Benefits

What we offer:

  • Private healthcare scheme
  • Company pension
  • Death in Service - 4x annual salary
  • 10 paid learning days per year
  • Regular opportunities for industry recognised training and certifications
  • Opportunities to develop within a fast growing-tech business with ambitious growth and impact goals
  • Generous annual leave policy and your birthday off (36 days inclusive of bank holidays)
  • Length of service awards
  • Sabbatical leave for employees over 5 years service
  • Market leading parental leave policies
  • Company events - opportunities to meet colleagues you don’t see every day
